Umm... I'm not a bird... Also humans and moneys have similar genes, but they also share large amounts of genes with 90% of the other mammals. Calling a human a monkey would mean you can also call humans mice.

I'm not well versed in Synapsid taxonomy, but I sure as hell know that Humans, being decendants of monkeys, are just bipedal monkeys because what we call "monkey" is a clade.
Plus, of course we share a lot of genes with other lifeforms. We're not all that different on a cellular level. We're literally just derived para-bacteria.

 

I mean, sure, humans act like they have the intelligence of moneys (considering Trump, who wants wars to start, has a chance of becoming president), but technically we're not monkeys. We don'y call house-cats ocelots or dogs coyotes, do we?

 

I'm facepalming all over this.
We call ocelots and cats felids. We call dogs and coyotes canids. We call orangutans and humans monkeys. Boom. Done.

Dun'no if it's true but my math and science teacher says that we don't descend from monkeys but that the monkeys and us just have a common ancestor :)
