1st Website :d

There isnt much said... I made my 1st website... its still W.I.P. and i only had 4 hrs of html so far so im not the best ^^ http://wynncraftenhanced.kirdow.com/

You do know that someone made those buttons and background image solely for the Wynncraft site? And the artist either got paid by the developers (they paid for it, you didn't) or spent their time working for hours on a cool new Wynncraft background, but then for it to be used for other people's websites like it was in the goddamn public domain.

And you just re-uploaded it to make your site mimic the official website? I mean you have the freaking Wynncraft favicon for crying out loud. For a resource pack that's trying to enhance the aesthetics of the game, you sure are doing a lot of copy-pasting.

It's cool that Wynncraft Enhanced has a website, but it'd be kinda nice if you...

(Sorry if this hurts but please just use a template or something, rather than copying Wynncraft. In fact, there might be someone who would be willing to make a cool background/layout for your site if you asked on the Forums.)

You should start as a template first honestly, that's what I do if I have to work on a website.
I draw the different behaviours of the page I'm designing, in different format (phones and tablets obviously)
But since you're obviously in the process of learning as well, you should start making more complex CSS and learn Javascript next.
Oh and, please, for your own sanity, make the .css and the scripts of your page in different files

obviously, but why use tons of brbrbrbrbrb when you can use css to do the alignement and spacing for you ? :P

templates are life savers when you want to design a website, trust me. If you can organize your thoughts first with a drawing, your website will be more easy to customize and re arrange in the end.

The website isnt for a buisness or anything its just for the modpack thats for wynncraft so it doesnt rly need to be original assuming it wont be worked on so often.

 

i design websites for fun, and i can do just fine without a template

 

People work differently man, I'm just saying that if you want to become better at it and lessen the workload you'll have, just drawing on a sheet of paper where every section should arrange and behave will save you ton of time.
I can pull up a list of people who were successful without going to school, that doesn't mean that going to school is a bad idea.
