[discussion] What Do You Think Of New Players?

So I was thinking, If a person that has 200k views average is joining the server, why isnt there a thread about it where we can all share our thoughts?

So I went and decided to make a post about it.

For me, Im not posotive nor negative. You see, the wynnic community is small and is easy to know a large portion of the community. Its not hard to be recognised. But if we have 200 thousand people join, its gonna get big-ish, and in a way, is bad. It makes the community more toxicity (Because it adds more mean peeps (Lets say 1/10 peeps are r00d)) and makes a less humble community. But its not bad either, because currently the server is undergoing financial issues (Mojang fucked our shop) so we need more people to get a better income (We get to to give out more ranks) so its a win/loss.

So what do you guys think?

But if Wynn, somehow gets 200k+ players, rip community

 

Exactly what Im thinking

 

95%: Coming from a famous youtuber
5%: Word of mouth

50% Quits before level 30
25% Quits before level 55
5% Quits before level 75
20% Stay

20% Skrubs that constant beg for items and CAPLOCKS FOR HELP
40% Respectful Nub
20% Complete Blank
10% Constantly getting help from friend
10% Quits after 4 minutes not getting past the tutorial

 

Right so here's what was:
95% famous youtuber
50% quit b4 lvl 30
but..
I came back =P

New players are decent but fucking annoying half the time lol

 

I was the 5% word of mouth
20% staying
And got a lot of help from my friend early on, and now I help people c:

 

That makes me 1/200 of le wynn population :o

I think it's pretty neat that there's new players joining. It means the server can make more money to stay alive if these people buy ranks and donate money.

 

I think it's pretty awesome that we have more new people. They may quit early on, or loose interest, but that's up to them.

As for the issue of toxicity, that's really just one more opportunity to spread positivity. If we're all spreading the good vibes, then it'll spread just as fast as toxicity.

Prepare for endless threads about 'i'm stuck', 'i don't know what to do' and 'help'

 

Well I think that they should be helped out, and that they keep the server alive by donating which is also pretty nice.
I enjoy new players except when they're a little over the top or toxic then it's just kind of bad. But as the old saying goes "Treat others how you want to be treated."

 

What I hate about new players:

THEY ALWAYS ASK AND SPAM YOU FOR MONEY IF YOU DONATED

aaaand depending of their age, im suuuure the comminuty will die.....just look at ruinscraft man

 

Lets do the math:

200k people join wynncraft:

there are about 1,000 regular players before these videos, most of whom are above (at least lvl 50)

That means if we add

200k people (below lvl 30) + 1,000 of us= wynnian, recuit wars.

Some more math: we get 200,000/1000 we get 200 persons each who are asking for mythics and swords

103% in math guys, i know what i'm talking about

 

I'm okay with new people tbh
It's really nothing new, I mean new people join wynncraft every other day

 

I actually like running around helping the new people and giving them low level items and stuff, I like to watch them play the game with awe in thiet eyes. Reminds me of the time I started playing wynn.
