Hello all! Today I'm going to be explaining my thoughts on the cutest thing to hit Wynncraft
Wybels!

First off, let's cover what we know.

A while back, @Selvut283 said Wybels are not from this planet, but from outer space! Yes, Wybels are aliens!
Wibble-Wobble Wybels originally came here because they like the climate and there are people here to look after and care for them.

There is also a boss altar on Wybel island found by the wonderful @Whimsy!

To access the altar you must need 20 Wybel Fluff by... killing... the Wybels.

Next, the following dialouge will appear

Okay, theory time!

Wybels are aliens, correct? Therefore, they must be of high value? Perhaps the Wybels are being trafficked around to rich people to use them as slaves? Who knows. Heck, there might be an entire underground wildlife trafficking scheme! Anywho, the current Wybels seem to be cuddley, soft creatures who are very loving, but easily abusable. In the Wybel boss altar, A diary entry of sorts says they want nibbles to sort something out. Maybe Nibbles is just a lab assistant, or perhaps worse, a slave? I also believe in the future, Wybels could be like that one monster from Hotel Translyvania (Movie)

Is there anything interesting about the lab equipment?

 

Nah, it seems like normal equipment you'd find anywhere else to be honest .w.

My question is how did they get there? Their ship was seemingly built into the Wybel Island... Either they crashed and built there...

Or maybe it's a chunk of their old planet, which was destroyed, then they set off to explore this new one?

How did Nibbles get to Detlas anyway?

Alright, fair point

 

My theory:

The reason nibbles is in Detlas is so he can observer the plant's sp cries and see if they are a threat. When he became a pet of sorts and did not come back, other webyls went to other cities to investigate.

Also you mention "lab equipment" in the boss altar? Well, what if it's not. What if it's a steering mechanism. The boss altar could be the interior of their crashed ship. With the orange webyl being their king?

Also I REALLY went them to somehow tie into why the f*** the sky islands are floating

Wait! There was a wild theory a while ago (I forget by who) that at the bottom of the sky islands was a giant alien space ship. Perhaps the GMs saw that and were like "yep, were doing that" and that's why you die when you fall, the fall damage from hitting the ship kills you.

It's also why the sky islands float (alien tech) and such

 

Aliens is definitly plausible, however i interpret the "spaceships" and labs, as not a space-travel realted lab, but a lab for creating new life.

The species has been said to be a cross between a rabbit, cat, and sheep before by i believe Selvut, maybe a nod to this interpretation?

It could also explain the sudden appearence, as Wybles could a be an invasive species after breaking free from the lab that created them. Where the Orange Wyble resides...


But, that's my interpertation and wide speculation, could and could not be the true origin to the Wyble. Also, if you got evidence to disprove this thought; i wanna hear it!

 

Quick note: the crashed alien ship is remarkably similar to the wybel ship in terms of materials? Related?

Oh, and I would fucking LOVE to see the giant alien ship at the bottom of sky islands theory.

 

We need a proper theory on the sky Island cataclysm, wybels are probably not responsible for them floating, but what about that purple tower....
