The mobs do indeed give 3-7k Xp (without xp armour)

The Black Dragonlings (that spawn on other islands by the way) do give 2000-3000 depending on your level range
The Dragonlings of the Depths at level 98, however give me (at level 94) give me 5800 xp with 58% xp bonus.

Their xp drop seems a little too easy to get, my suggestion would be to give them a ranged attack instead of reducing the xp gain, since they're still pretty annoying to take down (they have like 27000 HP, are faster than spinned devils, and trielemental defences)

EDIT : Oh, and reduce their Air Weakness, they have like -5000 in Air Defences :/

EDIT2: No seriously if you main in Air you can get rid of the "minibosses" faster than the minions, that's funny

 

They did actually give a bit too much XP. The dragonlings in general have been rebalanced, but you'll find that there wasn't actually too big of a nerf. They, at the moment, give ~3700-4100 XP according to their stats sheet. They now give 3400-3800. A decrease of about 300, so as to actually be in line with how it ought to be given their strength and level. Some of the dragonling varieties were also made tougher for sake of consistency, but overall this spot shouldn't have really been affected too badly.

Changes will go into effect next patch.

I only nerf things if they're legitimately off the curve or too ridiculous. These weren't too bad, so they got relatively minor adjustments.
