SPOILER The Lonely Dog

During the tutorial, there is a wolf on the far left of the mine entrance. He will accompany you throughout the whole tutorial before running back to his spot again. Just some assistance if you need it during the tutorial. :>

In one of the houses at the tutorial I remember a NPC saying something along the lines of "I lost my dog, it'll follow anyone."

 

It was cute and it attacked really fast.

Explains why a random dog is lost and following you.

 

What if this is a hint to tame able pets in the future?? (I hope so ;-;)

Almost a year later they have been reunited finally. (The npc doesn't say anything when the dog is at his house)

True it was a giant necropost but, I didn't want to make a new thread. I searched this up on google and didn't pay attention to the date this was released until I had already posted, sorry!

 

That sucks, but you could just keep that to yourself; it's not really a nice thing to think about, going from a cute dog story to a near death experience

Well maybe they'll add something like in the canyon guides where it detects if a specific mob is with you.

Could've sworn a number of mods have said necroposting is ok as long as it contributes to the thread and is relevant. I believe that applies in this case.
