Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

You find Shadow Katana at your neck, "Is he going to bring harm to us?" I say, serious.

 

You find me behind you.
"That depends. He may have less than good intents I hm not aware of. He could be provoked by something and become hostile." I reply.

 

"That doesn't answer my question. When he steps out of that portal, is he going to harm us?" I say, before swinging Shadow Katana around, stopping completely bare centimetres from your neck.

 

I remain unfazed.
"Again, that all depends on circumstances and situations. Be too trusting, he might backstab you. Be too hostile, he might retaliate. A correct balance of trust and mistrust should ensure you and everyone in this group's safety." I say, "Unless of course, there's a history between the group and my guest, in which case I have nothing to do with the matter."

 

Shadow Katana disappears from my hand, reappearing in it's sheath.

"Very well." I say, sitting back down next to Artemis.

 

I nod in satisfaction.

 

"Tricky situation... and is this happening in the capital, or the whole kingdom? The fall of Brisingr could stir up trouble in Nyme."

"I can disappear to everyone like any normal ghost, but many people are able to see on the spirit level. As long as Eras can't detect me, or even if he isn't there, then I should be fine."
He steps through the portal.

 

He finds himself on Rineth's tail. I notice you immediately, but make no mention of you.

 

"I'm afraid it's disrupting the entire kingdom. There's not much outside of self preservation we can do at the moment, but let us know if you need our cooperation."


Ruby waves at Enqo, but the others don't take notice.

 

He says telepathically, "Right, now I'll try to stay unseen for now. It doesn't look like Eras is here, so I should be fine."

"Hmm... I have some ideas which could help, but I would have to find out more before I could be sure about them. I need to talk with the King right away."

OOC: Oh yeah, I forgot that Enqo had been seen by someone in the group before, though I forgot who it was.

He waves back.

 

"He's been hoping you'd come."
The guards open the doors to the throne room.

Ruby forms a telepathic link with Enqo.
"You're Terrae's guest, eh? I suppose I won't sell you out just yet."

 

I go through the doors and into the throne room.
If the king is there, I walk towards him.
If the king isn't there, I wait in front of the throne.

"Thanks... though I'm not sure about the 'just yet'."

 

The king's asleep on the throne. The guards seem equally tired, but they're still awake.

"If you seem dangerous, your presence will be known. Otherwise, I could care less if you trail us."

 

"Alright, closing the portal."
The portal closes.

 

I decide to patiently wait for the King to wake up.

"I see. I assure you that I am no danger to you, but of course it is suspicious if you are told someone will be following you unseen."

"Thank you for bringing me back. Also, the library was very interesting. When I have more time, I think I might come back."

 

It takes a while, but eventually, he stirs.
"Mmm? E-eras...?" *yawn*

"Obviously. Our opinion of you essentially relies on me right now."

 

"You are welcome to."

 

"Yes, it's me. I should have come here sooner, but I was distracted by both the draconians and also some dangerous creatures. I heard about the situation here, and I'm going to help you."

"Then I should probably try to stay in your good books."

He nods, before moving further onto Rineth, before sitting down.
Idala appears nearby. "Are you sure we can trust them? Oh, and I can see them if you were wondering."

 

"That is for you, not me to decide." I reply.

 

"It's just... I don't trust them. I don't know why I do, I just don't."
