Guide How To Get The Wynncraft Texture Pack For Singleplayer!

I pm'd a couple of friends this and they told me to make a thread of it.. so.. I did.. Hope it helps!

How to get the Wynncraft texture pack:
Step 1: Google "Winrar download" or click the following link.

Then download the Winrar version you'd like, personally I went with this one:

Step 2: When you've installed it, you go to the search bar on your computer and type in
%Appdata%
Then you navigate to
.Minecraft > Server resource packs
Should look like this: http://prntscr.com/cg1lrq

Step 3: Then you select those files and copy them: http://prntscr.com/cg1m58
Start minecraft, go to resource packs and "Open resource pack folder" and paste the server resource pack in there: http://prnt.sc/cg1n21
When you've pasted it, rename the pasted files to (Example: Wynncraft.zip)
NOTE: .zip is the most important part in this!

Step 4: Go back to minecraft and look at which texture packs again.
The Wynncraft texture pack will look something like this:
http://prntscr.com/cg1qdp (my version is 1.10 while I play on 1.8.9, but it still works)

If you want a guide for removing the "weapon textures" on blocks I will be adding that shortly!

 

You can also download it from Github, because it's 10x easier.
Good guide though, it does help, but the pack is already up on the GitHub.

I really think this shouldnt be a thing, since the texture pack team worked hard to get a smooth pack SPECIFICALLY for the game, and people are just taking it to use for purposes outside of Wynncraft.

 

then why is the pack on GitHub?

I was going to do so yesterday, but fucked up and ran out of time (only had 5min before I had to go)

I think it should be a thing, it's one of the few existing rpg-ish texturepacks that aren't 516x516 HD shit right there.. and imo I love using the Wynnpack when building on a private server, so I don't get the idea why we should only be able to use it on Wynncraft.. It's not like people join just to use their resourcepack.

 

Since I use Linux and Winrar isn't exactly necessary, I'll put a guide here for other Linux users:

1. Open your 'Home' folder and locate the folder named '.minecraft' (you may need to right click and select "Show hidden files" first) and open it.

2. Once you've opened the .minecraft folder, locate the "server resource packs" folder and open it.

3. Locate the Wynncraft resource pack (it should be named 'legacy') folder and open it.

4. Copy the files in the Wynncraft resource pack and go back to .minecraft. You'll then need to open the 'resource packs' folder.

5. Create a folder in your resource packs folder and name it what you want your Wynncraft resource pack to be called (this will show up when selecting a resource pack).

6. Open the folder and paste the files into it.

7. Run Minecraft and select a resource pack; the Wynncraft resource pack should now be there!

8. ???

9. Profit.

 

Its just that at first I didnt know that whoever did the pack allowed it on github, I thought the pack was meant to be server sided ONLY, but now I know that its all good.

 

Isnt just find the wynncraft texture pack
and open with 7zip, winrar, etc...?
