Build Church W/ Interior

My latest build - a church. The clay roof on a church was a bit of an odd choice, but I stuck with it and I think it turned out pretty good! Feedback is always appreciated :) Ideas of what I should build next will be taken into consideration! I'm thinking I want to make a full town!!

Very good build! The only thing I would suggest is to make the inside a bit less plain. The walls feel a bit empty, even with the 'alcoves' they have.

Maybe u can add stairs and slabs to give more detail to the cross at the front. maybe ur not using ur building skills to your full ability, but i don't want to tell you what you already know :P

 

I tried this, but the issue is that once you start adding slabs and stairs, it doesn't really look much like a cross anymore. On a bigger scale, slabs and stairs work well tho

 

I thought all churches were meant to be cross-shaped (as in crucifix not X)

 

I don't like it, but try to use a different shape and add more details to make a thing better than this :)

Judging by your other build around the Church this Church is your best build, but I would give your build about a 6.8/10. Here are some tips to make it better. The interior to be blunt looks like it was made in 2012. It is just to simple, and not in a good way. Try adding some texture to the inside walls with stairs. Also add carpet, and don't make the ceiling flat, use slabs on the ceiling to give it some depth. Link to small example interior http://i.imgur.com/MuvqCdG.png. Your exterior on the other hand, is pretty good. Only thing I can say is try to add more color to the walls. Just gray even on a stone wall looks off. Because you are using wynnpack, the Monster egg stone blocks in wynnpack is dark stone. But in default just find a block that works. Your roof is good, it's just odd that a church roof is green, but that is just my opinion.



Here are just some tips in general for building. Don't be one of those guys that says everything that is not a flat wall is over-detailed. Try to add foliage around builds. Sometimes just adding simple little things that you might think add nothing can make a build 10x better. Last of all but you might know this, thinking of a theme and sticking to that theme is very important to building epic things. There’s my two cents. Hope it helped you get better in some way shape or form.

 

Thanks for the reply! Wow! Quite the paragraph!! The other builds around the area weren't done by me, I've been trying to rebuild them because they're awful. I guess I should have spent more time on the interior, I did it super quick just to have something inside. I agree the walls lack colour, I might go back and try some different blocks in the cobblestone nooks. Thanks for the suggestions on the wynnpack, do you know where I can get the one that's actually used on the server? I've got some strange one where some of the items are different. The roof is a strange choice, I only did it because the other house I built had a green clay roof, so I wanted it to be slightly similar. Thanks for all the tips!

 

Np with the suggestion. But I really don't know how to easily explain how I know how to get the wynnpack. Maybe ask someone else. I know there is an easy way to get it, but I don't know how.
