Media Something I Had On My Mind

Ok so this thread I just wanted to put here just to see what you guys think about what I am going to say here. I want to talk about people and how examining the server for a long time, I can conclude what I have found in the community of this server. I believe people in general are narcissists in their own way but some are higher narcissists then others. For a long time a lot of people are known to help others in good ways while a lot have not. I have also noticed that people who are low level and new to the game tend to either say bad stuff or sometimes go off into their own world. Marketing and quests have seen to be the key to narcissism on this server obviously because people want to become the richest and highest level as possible. There is no good or bad that I have seen on this server. Only one key to happiness between people. All people strive for happiness if it means to do good things or bad things. In conclusion of how people are in a whole is what you define in yourself.

To continue on to this thread I want to clarify the part of the community that is good and bad. Many people have said "hurtful" things to others including myself and I feel like many reasons can concur from these actions. When you face a camper or a cactus in pvp sometimes you get mad on many different levels. You can also get mad from getting scammed by a player. Anger leads to many decisions in human beings that might not be aimed on specific players. There is no bad guy or good guy in a situation, no matter how much of a dick they are. Emotions are only controlled by you and you only. You see with our high to happiness, we only feel the need to go as far to be happy. This might lead to putting others down to make you feel like the better person OR you might want to help someone just to make you feel like you did something good. Friends are people you can use for happiness and they are also people you cannot use sometimes. What defines a good friend is based on your morals.

Lastly I want to explain on how this server can be defined as "toxic". There are bad and good people on the server but depending on who you know best is if you find someone toxic or not. The meanest person on the server can be your best friend. Would you tell him to stop being an ass or would you defend him? Emotions and feelings to others is based on the person alone. If we go into ethics then anything could be said to a player as long as it is with the rules. I can base this off of my ban on the server as I said things against the rules. Putting to this statement even if I said things that were not against the rules it can still cause a toxic outcome with other players. It's scary how the most passionate people can become the ones with anger issues if you just act like a dick to them. Sometimes the one who seems like a bad person isn't the one who ends up with the consequences, but to some people it's the other way around. Everyone is judged by their morals on society. Next time you have an argument with someone it might be you that is the one making the bad decisions.

One thing I would like to add to counter claim what I said is that you can never feel any of these morals. You might find it fine for people to camp in the nether or steal your loot chests, but you might feel angry if someone says something mean to a friend. Either way people are judged mostly on the morals and not on common sense. The server is a dangerous place but if you focus on the one purpose that the server exists you can still have much fun playing on it.

Sorry if I made it like that. I think narcissism was too strong of a word to use. You can be still good but people show selfishness all the time without even knowing it.

 

Oh im selfish, I won't deny it. But I'm selfish like greed from full metal alchemist is selfish, I like attention and found the best way to get it is by helping people and making jokes. Then I came to look at the community as my own so being the selfish being that I am I try to improve it and revive parts of it.

 

I know what you mean, but it's scary sometimes that the nicest person can turn into an angry bull just if someone is a dick to them. Sadly even the passionate person can have some crazy anger issues.

Too many people who say,"Fuck you," when you accidentally steal their key guardian. One guy even said that to me when I offered him a free key.

 

I've had many incidents with new players, and I try to be as nice as possible to them! I go to Ragni to help new players and get them hooked on Wynncraft. I like to consider myself a good person for this.. but I agree with what you said. Whether you're a good or bad person fluctuates with the situation.

Anyways, I remember a fun fact. In the book of rare neurological and psychiatric diseases and disorders, once upon a time narcissism was considered a rare psychological disease. Recently though, it was removed from this textbook list.

It isn't rare anymore.

Hell, almost everyone in our government is a narcissist because that's the only way you get enough people to notice you so that you will be elected. There is a fine line between being charismatic and charming versus over-assertive and egocentric. I tend towards the shy-er side.

I like this, (although it's long) because most players are like that (@Kraby) and just ignore the things you do to help. I lost my things 1-2 months ago, and I was that sad and angry that I nearly was gonna throw swears at everyone. Self esteem isn't good, and it really is also rude. (it's midnight so I can't talk)

 

What I think you mean is that Unconscious Bias is taking it's place in the community, especially in games and online where almost no one can get back at you for it.

 

Yes this is mostly what I meant. I know you can probably find a better way of this thread written better in a book, but I was just trying to see what others thought on here because I feel like I see this the most on this server.
