Guide How To Make A Suggestion That Doesn't Suck

Hello, if you are viewing this thread then you want to know how to make your idea into something that doesn't suck/is half decent. I will take you through this in a step by step way.

Step 1: Find something that needs to be changed/something that you want added to the game. Also, make sure this is original, don't go around saying things that are not original at all such as "Add Housing". Also make sure it hasn't been suggested before before posting. We have a search bar for a reason.

Step 2: Now that you have your idea, first elaborate with why you want the idea added, so the audience knows your thinking behind it. For example, if your changing something, tell us why the thing you want to change is bad.

Step 3: Now that you've gotten your idea and elaborated why it's necessary, tell us in a very detailed way how it will work, and add multiple examples of this so we know.

Step 4: Remember to throw the entire thing together in such a way that people can understand what your talking about, don't go into such detail that all of us lose track of what your saying while you disappear into some far off land.

Notes:

-Do not format your idea in a giant block of text, it hurts people's eyes, and people will tend to skip over it because it looks like too many words. Use the amazing invention of paragraphs. I recommend hitting the return key twice between subjects so the idea looks spaced and readable.

-Don't Shitpost. "Shitposting" is when you post trying to be funny, or just post useless information that helps no one. By doing this you cover up good ideas, and never let the ideas that could have had a chance shine.

-Make sure your idea is actually needed before suggesting it.

Main problem with this is that the people who need it won't read it. We still get "Help I'm stuck threads" and there's a guide stickied on the front page. It's great for the people who will read it though.

 

Either 1. Mods make this thread noticed, so people can use this as a resource(and delete the threads that don't follow this)

Or 2. We post a link to this thread on all the suggestions that are absolute shit.

No matter what, there will still be the people who hate threads for no reason, and the shitposters. I don't think this community will ever reach a state where when people follow these good steps, people actually give reasoning and good answers.
