Is There A More Efficient Way Of Getting Gold Ingots?

In ToL you need to get the old Touroto hide, which costs 32 gold ingots. I am currently buying a ton of shrooms at Elkurn and using them to buy gold ingots. Is there a more efficient way I can get gold ingots (one that's not so expensive lol) or am I just stuck buying shrooms?


Edit: the stuff in the mine (used in canyon condor) has gold bars, not ingots. :(

Isn't it only like 1 emerald per shroom? How is that expensive?

 

The dead prospectors in the mesa drop ingots, as well as canyon bandits in the CotL

 

32 gold = 32x16 emeralds = 8 EB

It's 8 emeralds to buy a shroom.
It's 8 shrooms for 1 gold ingot.
