Pixel-art Character

I've recently started creating a pixel-art based game, and thought I'd make little characters for everyone that wants one. (If I think the character looks cool afterwards, I'll add it into my game as an NPC ;) )
Something similar to these:
(I don't have a guy picture at the moment, the actual character will be about 64/64 pixels big, probably smaller. These ones were blown up, a lot.)

Hey a fellow pixel artist!

I've gotta say, the eye placement is really messing with me, but I've seen your gif and it's pretty cool! Good luck with your game!

 

Thank you very much, what's wrong with the eyes by chance? I made them based off the general scene, them being centered-ISH makes it look a bit better to me. Especially with the way the overall game looks.

 

Due to the size of the head and the eyes, they seem waaaay too far spaced apart for my tastes. In perfect human proportions, there should be one eyes-width between the eyes, in your case one pixel. You use two pixels instead.

This would not be a problem if it was not for the FACT they your heads are pretty small, a stylistic choice I can get behind, but casus the right eye to seem like its too far to the right. In my opinion I would either move the right eye one pixel to the right, or make the head a bit bigger. If you want click on my signature and look at my pixel art characters heads for comparison.

Honestly it's just kind of a pet peeve of mine, others might not mind it as much.
