Media Throne Room In The Canyon Of The Lost

I went around the Canyon of the Lost and stumbled upon this thing in a large cave. There's a loot chest IV in front of a sign which says "the lilypads know the way".
Behind it is a staircase leading to a bookshelf with a hidden door, activated through the button on the right.
The door leads to a small room with a massive throne in it, but it doesn't seem to contain anything useful.
Is this just a neat little secret or is there more to it? I haven't seen any lilypads there so there might be another secret to this.

 

Look in the lake outside the throne place, it's dark but you can find a few clusters of lilypads that might be worth checking out.

 

Oo I found something! So this has been already found then I guess.

 

Been there but I didn't see anything. Maybe i'll have better luck.

 

Aww well I found the real secret but it just puts me back to the beginning. I expected something cooler :/

 

I went here too but I think I took a different road through the maze thingy, cause I found a different room I think, but there was nothing in there either...

The lilypads lead to a button on an emerald block. Use the vines nearby and climb back up to the entrance, and stand on the purple clay block. A hidden staircase with open below you, which leads into a maze. Find your way through the maze to find a Loot Chest 3 and a way back out.

It's a great spot, and I use it as part of my loot chest run.

 

Yeah I found that too now. But all this for a loot chest III? I'd expect the tier 3 to be in front and the tier 4 behind the maze!

 

Yeah, kind of backwards logic there.
