Escorting Seluc, Sucks. (canyon Guides Quest)

So I've been trying to do The Canyon Guides quest for a while now...

But this is very difficult for me, since I lag a lot, and Seluc. Yes, Seluc is a very uncooperative individual.


In the quest, Seluc is a dood who get's lost in a cave that lies right next to a path, isn't trapped, and has a perfect wide entrance. (Oh yea, apparently he can also like kill lvl 90 monsters in seconds.) Anyway, u gotta escort him to the temple so he can get help. (Manually). This may seem simple but...


Sometimes Seluc is just like "Fuck this" Im gonna stand in one spot and not move for 10 minutes.

Or sometimes he is like: " Yea, im gonna climb the bridge railing, and drown myself!"

Or. "Im gonna get stuck on a block forever!"

U see, not only is Seluc a complete anti-intellectual, abomination. There are also monsters that want to kill u EVERYWHERE. Not only that!!!, but Seluc is nor invincible, nor has the teleportation ability. Meaning that when I try to kill monsters with bomb arrow, guess what? Seluc takes damage!! I also cannot use arrow shield!

BUT NONE OF THAT. Even comes CLOSE to the biggest problem!

So I got Seluc the furthest I have ever gotten him. Then... @Nemrekt decides to come along. And ruin my day!

How does he do it ladies and gentlemen? Well? HE FUCKING KILLS SELUC. For no reason.

MY SUGGESTION:

Please, just make Seluc invincible to players. It wud makes things easier. Also if he like, could teleport that be great.

Also he won't respawn for me anymore. -_-

How do you make a mob invincible to players?

also grab a friend who's willing to help and have them kill the mobs while you trail behind with Seluc

 

Ye, but liek, I wanted to do that, but none of my friends are ever online.
How do u make him invincible to players: Idk, maybe have him have liek over 90000000000000000000000000000000000000000 Hp? Or the "Invincible" tag that's in the vanilla game.

 

HINT : Walk slowly and ignore mobs , seluc can fight them and kill them in seconds
If he stops get close to him then keep walking so he refollow u

Still though, some mobs throw projectiles, and it's not like im lvl 100.
And it won't stop @Nemrekt

 

The mobs want Seluc to die. Giving him that much health defeats the purpose.

That's just an idea, im sure there are other ways of making him invincible to players only using coding magic. My main problem is that @Nemrekt killed him...

 

And you defend yourself, and you get Seluc killed.
There's a reason the Changeblog for quests had the description of Canyon Guides as "The canyon doesn't want him out alive".

 

if u want to defend urself , run away far from him so he wont follow u , kill the mob , then run back to seluc

 

Yea, I was trying to do that. But when I got back to Seluc that's when the "Fuck this, im gonna stand in one spot for 10 minutes comes in" And by that time the mobs respawn.

just stay away for like 10 blocks and he wont follow anymore , kill mobs and go back to him

 

No, I went like 10-20ish blocks away lol. Also sometime things freeze, and then everything teleports around the place like crazy.

this quest took me 1 try first time , its not even that hard

 

Seluc regenerates faster than the mobs can kill him I believe. Just ignore the mobs and walk to the temple with him

 

I don't know what your problem is; this quest was easy as pie for me. I just took my time and waited where I needed to. Mind, my playing it on the server was my first time every doing so.

 

You overlooked the biggest problem. Let me sum it up for you in a hashtag.
