Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Helianthus takes the offer.
"I'm more used to fighting with both my sword and the crossbow, but you disarmed me before I could pull it off."

 

"That's how I fight. I'll be honest; my close quarters combat skills aren't as good as the others here, but I focus training on disarms to compensate. Good fight, by the way." He says, handing you your blade.

 

Helianthus nods, and then looks around for someone else to duel.

 

"Do you have a library somewhere?"

I fly to the west, and weave to the north and south as I do so, searching for the spell.
Is it just the wind, or does a rock right in front of Max suddenly roll sideways?

 

"Lots. Libraries are mandatory in settlements here in Perniciosa."

 

"Can I see one of these libraries?"

 

I nod, and then Enqo's vision blacks out once more. In an instant, he finds himself in a massive library, bookshelves high up into the ceiling. The library is very richly-designed.

"Welcome to the Grand Imperial Library." I say, "It has an official name, but I find it easier to say this than the official one."
"This is the largest library in the wastelands, and holds vast amounts of knowledge. Be careful while exploring, as you may get lost."

I summon a map of the library and hand it to Enqo. It looks like a maze.

 

"Ah, thanks. I could probably walk through the walls if I have to, but I've almost exhausted that ability today."

 

"If you'll need me, just establish a telepathic connection. I'll be returning to the group to continue my research on Draconians."

"Wherever they are."

I open up a portal to a random location and go through it, hoping to end up near the group.

 

Enqo goes to the nearest book, and opens it.

 

It's a book on the different sections of the library, and what books are in those sections. It's only volume 1.

 

Enqo looks through the book for information on any sections containing science, alchemy or enchanting.

 

Upon reaching the second volume of the table of contents, Enqo finds a book entitled "Alchemy: The Basics". There appears to be ten volumes of it.

 

"I already know the basics, but different places have different ideas for basics."
He looks through the book for the location of the alchemy volumes.

 

The book gives a letter to number combination, which you pinpoint with your map to be the bookshelf to your right after two intersections. The intersection you see appears to be a bit away.

 

Enqo walks towards the location the book seems to direct him to.

 

There's archers, swordsmen, lance and axe users, and mages all open to a duel.

Keila looks closer at what it could have been, and Max just goes off and chases the rock to eat.

You wind up near Greenhill Stronghold.
...definitely not near the group.

 

The rock doesn't roll very far, just a few metres, so Max easily gets to it.
By now, Max would be right on top of the spot it used to be at.

 

Max eats the rock and moves on, Keila eyeing the spot closely.
"If you didn't break the rules we gave you, we wouldn't have to dispel you." She calls.

 

Keila feels a sudden hum of magic.
A large mountain erupts from the ground a few yards in front of Maxie, It seems to contain lots of different ores.
