Please Help - Uncontrollable Server Lag

I was running fine until the gameplay update
Connection slow
Also when I log into a server, it takes me 6 min to get in

 

It's not server-side. At least, not entirely. It's a problem with your connection, otherwise everyone would be getting lag.

And we're not.

 

Mods punish rule breaking, so if a mod gave you some advice it would probably be around just as good as the advice the community is giving ;p

 

I have the same problem and I'm starting to think this could be related to "ping" or "packet loss".

 

In what way did I break any rules? Please point this out to me.

 

Your games aren't equal to Wynncraft. In Minecraft(other servers) and other games i have 120-150 fps while in Wynncraft I have 60-90 (cause of all the blocks loaded, redstone used by players, all of the entities including other players, the texture pack, etc.).

 

Yeah, thanks for pointing that out. I am not sure about the details of packet loss, but it sounds like a viable reason for why it's happening.

 

She meant that the forums is not only to get help/feedback from mods, it's also to get help/feedback from the community, because mods can't play Wynncraft more than the community does. People tagging mods (except for locks) is very illegal in the forums.

 

Alright, so I have had internet issues and I think I know how I can help.

1. http://www.speedtest.net/ go there and tell me your upload and download speed.
2. If there are any mirrors in between your computer and router move them, only if you're wireless.
3. Reset your Modem/router when this happens.
4. You could just have a bad internet plan and you're gonna have to talk to your parents about what your internet plan is.

 

I didn't tag anyone. I only made a comment on how it would be nice if a moderator would help me with this issue.

3: I have tried this, this error has been reoccurring for years
4: I don't think I have a bad internet plan, my router is literally in my room and I don't think those are bad DL and upload speeds. I have no internet lag on ANYTHING excepting this single Minecraft server.

Do you lag in any other online game or is it just Wynncraft's server?

 

Just Wynncraft servers, and I don't understand why.

 

Try playing when fewer people are on, see if that makes any difference. I know it might not, but I don't fully understand either tbh.

 

Thanks for your honesty, I have tried everything and my friend is even using the same ISP as me, and he doesn't lag at all. I don't even remotely understand what could be causing this problem.

 

We can't really help you, because few people have these lag problems. If you could say how much fps you get in the WCs, i could try to understand the problem. (i probably won't be able to)

 

I used to have problems like these, a bad connection to a certain server when others from across the street were fine. It usually solved after just time passing, and restarting MC a few times. However, this is interesting. The only other thing I could suggest is:
1. Reinstalling MC entirely (deleted your .minecraft and launcher, re-download.)
2. Unplug your disconnect from wifi then unplug your router, and modem.
3. Restart PC
4. Plug Modem and router back in, connect to wifi
5. Reinstall MC and join Wynncraft
If this still doesn't work, maybe try to get an Ethernet cable to go from your router directly into your pc, since your router is in your room.
If this still does not work; you may want to ask for professional help from your local computer store, fry's, best buy, etc.

 

I have specified that my FPS count is over 300 at all times. It is NOT FPS lag.

 

How many gigabytes of ram are you allocating to your client? I understand your pc is 'beefy', but too much is just as bad as not enough...2 gigs is ideal (for Wynncraft).

Java updated? Any parameters?

 

Why do we always get this.

You can't complain about this. Wynncraft isn't a rich community where we can afford a better router. If you want to donate a ton of money to buy a better server, then please make it rain. But unless we win the lottery, this lag isn't going anywhere.


And it's not like people have addressed this.

 

The famous "Reduce Lag" XDDD
