Mage/Dark Wizard Best Water Mage Build At The Moment?

Currently I am a Water - Fire Mage with a Third Eye, Aquarius, (lack of pants), Memento, and an Antipode. This was a build created a while ago when Gavel came out, so I feel as if it is outdated.

 

now with the new walkspeed thing I dont need that much mana (want somethinfg like 8/4). So now I want some more: spell damage%, melee damage% and some speed. With that I can to good damage and can heal other players. And with the walkspeed I can walk faster (what else can you do with speed). My mage is a support mage but it can deal a lot of damage to.

 

My mage is lvl 91 atm and I am going to keep using my water build.

Third eye
Aquarius (when I am lvl 95)
Crystal (vaward at lvl 99)
Sodeta boots (memento at lvl 92)
For the accesories I will be using 2x moon pool rings from the hive water merchant and a clock brace (since I don't really need more mana I would rather take clock brace for damage instead of the squid brace for more mana).
And finaly the wynn excavation site D stormy necklace.
And for wepon I am going to keep on using my Ethereal and put 2x Tier VI water powders on it.

This is because mage is a spell class so mana is very good to have. Ethereal is also a very good wand and I prefer it because it hives nice damage, the really nice attack speed and the combination of mana and spell damage %.

Yes, this build can be traced to pre-Gavel.
But why should an old build be bad?
Water will always be good for mage just like fire always will be good for warrior.
It might not be the best build out there, but if used right and with some practice it can win in a fight against any of the mage builds.
And it can adapt to the changes they do to the game. That is something most builds cant do since they are made for a specific in that specific update, a cactus build is an example of a build that cant adapt very well.
If you want a long lasting allround build, use this one.

 

Going off of the first and second comments, that means Agility Water seems better right? Or will Water Fire work better due to Fire affecting Meteor?

 

Water air is really good due to the healing spell. You have a lot agility so its hard to hit you, and if they hit you, you can heal while they "miss".
Ive seen it in action. Only a very skilled player, another mage with the same build or a player with a weapon that can do massive damage in one hit (weapons like Az, Freedom, Grandmother) can kill that kind of mage. Mele builds can't do it, posion maybe.

sry, but i think its better to get 8/4 mana of you rings and things. with 3/4 ethereal and 3/4 base regen= 14/4 mana, then i will use

aquarius with 6/4 mana and good spell. then for the helmet you can use spectre for spell damage, for leggigs clock or something else with good spell damage. And for the boots idk, you can swap 2 rings for spell damage rings, then you get a total of 20/4 mana regen and good spell damage, I suggest you have a pure and a lunar spine to, lunar for raw melee damage if you want to use your mana to heal other people, and pure for good damage. This is because gear can give better spell damage then rings and things. I will suggest this in total:

Try it when they have 140+ agility and spam heal. As long as you don't do more damage than they have in health, Im 99% sure you can't win

 

I prob could with some time you can't spam heal forever and my dps isn't that bad btw how much hp and mana regen?

Yea, but you dont have to spam heal, the agil makes it so that you have enough time for the spell to reset so you dont have to use more mana, to use it again.

Also I think you would prob use something like statue. so, about 15k health.

 

Statue with 140agi? And I'm guessing 8/4 mana? Wtf

Also looking at the first build you posted I'm almost certain I could kill that with my melee build like you would definiatly not have enough hp and tbh having that much agi with mana AND statue seems a tad bit unreal

 

Whop, Im thinking of a little bit worse agil with statue, I think u can get 120ish with statue

 

With what build?

 

Realistically you could go speed helmet, chestplate, pants, then statue, then suppression/concentration 2x, squid anklet, and lapis necklace and either way I'm pretty sure you would be able to get 110+ ago and at least 8/4 mana, and if you use ethereal you could get 11/4 min

 

Helm, blue mask 80 sp+
Chest plate, 7\4 Aquarius
Leggings, frosted leggings or crystal 3/4
Boots, 4/4 mementos high spell dmg
Rings, 2 concentrations 2/4
Bracelet, 2/4 squid anklet
Necklace, incredibly rare but royal stormy amulet 2/4
Wand, lament high mana steal, water, and spell dmg. Put 3 tier 6 water powders in it
This build can cost 14 stacks of le so only use if u want to be op.

 

Just to put it out there memento is now bad compared to Capricorn since the buffed it

 

How did they buff it? :3

 

Spell dmg % is like 23-25% now with around 150 spell dmg 2/4 mana steal and 2/ mana regen

 

There's also Riverflow, which gives like 6/4 mana regen and walk speed
