Important Message Regarding ???

Hey everyone,

The new ??? is meant to be good clean fun where everyone can work together to solve our massive puzzle. However, using any sort of hack/exploit that will allow you to see through walls is not permitted. This includes intentionally trying to look for information through chunk errors or partially loaded chunks. That gives away a big part of the quest, and ruins everyone's fun of searching for it the first time around. This is all just for fun and we want everyone to be able to find this legitimately without being spoiled like this.


I am going to make myself clear here: Using any sort of X-ray hack, mod, resource pack, or exploit to gain information on the ??? revamp will result in a permanent ban with no appeal. Downloading the map or sharing information gained from any of the previously listed methods will result in the same punishment.


One more thing: If you have learned of any information that might have been gained through these methods, please do not share it or even lead people towards the information you have obtained. It'll be much more fun if you let people find out the information without any cheating. In the meantime you can try to search for different clues that are unrelated to anything you have been spoiled on.


EDIT: Please do not believe anyone who says they have completed "???" We keep very close watch on your guys progress and no one has yet to complete it. Or even get close to completing it, so don't believe nonsense.


Let's all just play fair here, it'll be a lot more fun for everyone this way.

If said information was originally obtained through illegal methods, such as the ones mentioned on the thread, then no you can't talk about it. But for the most part, the hunt should go about as usual.

Well, knowing that people have started to look for hidden rooms (such as those below Yahya's House) via reloading chunks, it may as well be considered both a warning and a response. I've seen a lot of these posts circling around the forums, and I've seen a couple of people in game who considered downloading a "spectator mod".
It's a warning since it tells everyone to stop this nonsense, and a response to all the recent "findings".

Nevertheless, this had to be said. The new ??? is supposed to be a community search, not a competition of "Who has the best hackz0rz".

Thank you m'lord - Are we allowed to know which province it is based in, I've assumed Gavel, but now people are talking about Yahya despite you Lotem saying it was totally unrelated to the old quest. So... I'm kinda confused, is it both provinces? Did Lotem just mean that it wasn't meteors...?

I have noticed that many people Reload their chunks and sometimes can see underground. They do this with F3 and A.
