I thought my theory that this guy was from Corkus was original :(

 

then gavel is much smaller than wynn :P cause the ocean is basically 2 times gavel in terms of size (just look the map,the ocean is big af)

That's actually a very important statement. If Corkus is really a Human province also, he might think the player may be from Corkus..?

 

Since Corkus is actually confirmed by the library in Llevigar, Corkus is on an island and this guy is in Selchar, another island, then I think he actually is from Corkus.

Yes, he did do it. However, Corkus is now canon as a legitimate Province of Technology or whatever.

You spawn outside the gates of Fruma so you could say you start your journey in Fruma, but you are not technically in the the provenience, but more like the border of Fruma and Wynn
