SPOILER Very Serious Complaint On Canary Calls

As probably all of us who's done this quest so far may know, you get a nausea affect once you enter the cave.

The quest itself was quite simple, the concept was nice. The puzzle was fun... But the nausea, of course I didn't think much of it when I was doing it thinking "well people with serious sickness could maybe get a bad headache from this, but I'm fine."

The minecart part was actually pretty fun it took around 5 minutes. After finishing the quest I went out to start Hidden City and that's when I noticed even after the nausea was supposed to end the screen still seemed to be spinning for me. Not long later I decided to get off cause I clearly was getting a headache.

I personally believe we need to either take away the nausea or put it on a longer level


TL;DR - Nausea caused actual headache after finishing, should either be lowered or taken away entirely

 

That's why you can do /class do end that effect :)

 

This happened to me too. It took me around 10 minutes to complete the minecart puzzle and by then I was getting a slight headache. I also felt as if the screen was still spinning for several minutes after finishing the quest.

It's not that, it's just that the nausea gave him a headache, not that he still had it

 

I just finished the quest.. It was a fun quest tbh but it make me feel like shit

 

It should give a message: "If the nausea effect doesn't suit you, doing /class and coming back will get rid of it."

 

There are mods to stop this effect although it may not be allowed

Yea I got I really bad headache after completing the quest which made me log off pretty early last night, they should at least tone it down a rank of nausea

I wish I knew about /class

 

The thing is, if this really was intended to work they would've never added the nausea effect, or else they would've added a sign or a dialogue that told us you could do so. What if someone didn't know about this? First of all it doesn't give you a warning aboutt the nausea and secondly it isn't told to you that you can take it off by doing /class.

What im trying to say here is /class to get rid of it may be a glitch that might get patched sooner or later.

 

I mean, it's called poisonous gas for a reason. The quest says it doesn't hurt humans as it does for villagers, but that doesn't mean the player won't get a sick sick from it.

 

This is from a gameplay perspective, not a lore/logic perspective.

 

It's also from logic perspective. If you didn't have that nausea it wouldn't feel real.

The /class command is an unintended effect, but I won't exactly tell you not to use it considering the reports of headaches and such. For now we'll debate about how to handle The Canary Calls situation but please understand that the nausea is an intended mechanic of the quest so we don't want to tell players to remove it because that just kills the fun and breaks the immersion. I'm not quite sure how we're going to resolve this situation yet though but for now it's being discussed. I can't really say how we're going to handle the situation but I just figured I should let you guys know that we hear your issues.

 

I just did it, and yea the nausea was real.
A solution to this, is to randomly move the player's head rotation (possible with /tp)

 

it adds to the dynamic so shut up

keep the effect idc if i get a headache i just want the quest to feel more real
also in cowfusion when your a cow it would be epic if when you tried to talk it would say moo in chat
