Why Does Vanish Continually Drain Mana?

On the website, the spell is listed as using 2-4 manaish. However, when i use it, it continually drains mana while i am vanished, which is really annoying. Is this a bug, or intentional? If intentional, why?

 

Because vanish is extremely OP, and if it didn't have a mana drain, it would be unstoppable.

how is it OP? In pvp you can clearly see particle effects. In pve, sure, you can use it very effectively. However, Ice Snake has much of the same use, and the solution there is to make it cost a ton of mana. I would much prefer if Vanish just cost a bunch of mana up front instead of messing up my sprint and combo calculations.

 

gotta learn to deal with it. It's been proved a bunch of times that Assassin doesn't need a buff.

 

A. Sprint bar
B. Costing a ton of mana does not prevent it from being spammed and letting people stay vanished pretty much forever
C. Calculate around the mana loss

 

Because if you could stay in vanish forever that'd be stupid.

Yes, it can be spammed but not everyone uses a mana/intel build, and it will still drain mana with the sprint bar.

 

And it's not going to change. Vanish is the most overpowered spell (other than Ice Snake) in the game. If you didn't drain mana for Vanish, you could get to Ahmsord as a level 10. It's already hard getting there as a level 10, especially level 1 (which has been done)

 

I never suggested for it to drain no mana and how is it one of the best spells in the game? You also don't get vanish until level 11.

 

Even if the mana drain was nerfed a little bit, it would still be very overpowered.
It's the second most op spell, being able to pass up mobs without them seeing you.
I was close with the level.

Also, Vanish kinda got a buff with the Gameplay Update, the mana drain happens, but while sprinting, you have the Sprint Bar instead of the mana from both the drain and the sprint affecting you.

 

I know you can pass mobs, but it still uses way too much mana and in PVP, someone can just use a decent AoE spell and it will probably hit you if you're cloaked. Can we just end this now because this won't get settled.

I meant that the sprint bar will let you sprint in vanish, and it doesn't matter if you have a mana regen build or not because by the time you finish vanish, even if it took away 19 points, you would still have all but three mana, which regens in three seconds.
