    what if I just got 64 LE or whatever from trading a horse and then I get stuck in a wall and lose it all?
    or have to wait for ages?
    the only thing I actually disagree with in the old system, and the new system too, is that I NEVER want to be forced not to play.
    in terms of 'play another character', the only class I really find myself liking is Warrior/Knight, and I hate the level 1-30 experience after doing it a bazillion times.

    1. That's really unlikely to happen.
    2. Even if you have a few soul points left, you won't lose all your money.
    3. If you have lots of soul points, you might not even lose an le.
    4. Am I the only one here who actually has about 5 different things to do if one of them fails?

    Just don't get to 5 sp and don't get stuck in a block? If you're that desperate log out and wait until you regen sp, or use a scroll to get to a safe town.

    I think you might not lose items on the use of scrolls, even if below 5 soul points. I might be wrong, but this is what I have heard.

    yeah, that's probably a little obvious
    the problem is, is that using a scroll would result in the loss of another soul point, which would be even more dangerous for the player, as I've already said

    Well you do realize that again, when at 2 soul points, you'd generally wait. But always having the chance to LOSE something in an RPG game, and if you are careful or just for the fact that you know how the old soul points work, you shouldn't be losing items in the first place. I mean increasing the chance of losing something isn't necessarily what we want anyways after we die.

    The fact you still loose 40% of your junk items at 10 SP is gonna be annoying :/

    I mean, I don't really care, I was overcautious about death anyway, so I'll probably see little change from it.

    EDIT: I'm pretty sure one reason they're doing this is to make it a little bit less punishing for people who afk in a bad spot or get a swarm led to them by some douche.

    Mythics shouldn't be dropped by dying, and I support the new system. This is just my unpopular opinion again, but I actually want the game to be more challenging.

    I also want to throw in that we're not at all finished with this system. We'll be tweaking it dramatically in the future to make it balanced and fair. We want the game to be as fun as it can be, and our only intention with changing soul points was to encourage that.

    That's exactly our goal with this new system! The game is much more fun if it's a bit challenging. The old soul point system was just a waste of space in the inventory, since everyone was effectively invincible.

    You will ONLY lose soul points when you die. Using a TP scroll will never touch your inventory.

    Personally, I really don't mind between the two, but I'd rather the old one over the new if I had a choice.

    I didn't mean we would lose items from using scrolls, I meant that using scrolls takes soul points, and now that we have less soul points to use before we need to stop and afk, we can't use scrolls as often to travel.
    Punishing us for using scrolls rather than walking, while adding scrolls to other towns in shops seems VERY counterintuitive to me.
    The old system gave us 13 soul points to work with and it was fine, now I only have SIX soul points to use before I start losing emeralds?? I fail to see how forcing us to afk more or leave our items fate to the RNG gods is going to make the game more fun than the old system did.

    It's better than losing items and 2 soul point from suffocating in a block... and once you're in a safe town you can heal your soul points.

    I'd like to know, with certainty, what has a chance of dropping and when it could drop. If 5 SP and less means there's a chance that any of your items could drop, it's basically the new 2 SP, which means we can play less (or take more risks). If any items have a chance of dropping (even a lower chance) when you have over 5 SP, then I don't need to try the system to say I won't like it. I'm poor enough and can't afford to risk losing any of my good items, especially for something like getting stuck in a block .-. If only junk items/emeralds drop when you have over 5 SP, it wouldn't be nearly as bad, but would still be inconvenient (like when you need to grind junk items for quests).

    I agree with the people who are saying that the old system works fine, so why change it? The new system might work out to be just fine as well, but I really don't see the point of changing it, now. I like being able to play Wynncraft without the fear of losing my stuff; it's not a good feeling when you lose something good, whether it's your own fault or a glitch. It wouldn't make the game harder imo, only more frustrating if you did lose something good.

    Does this mean TP scrolls won't take SP or have any penalties (apart from the price to buy them)?

    I'm playing the beta, and although I'm only a level 15 Mage, if it counts I really haven't been having issues with the new system. I died once, and lost some rotten flesh but that isn't so bad. However, I have also been playing a bit more conservatively than I usually do, and holding back more and hitting from afar rather than just jumping in
