It tells you exactly what items you lose, so it would be hard to not know how they lost items. There shouldn't be that much forum spam.

    yeah guys, I saw that.
You must have not seen this:
I don't care how low the chance is, it's still there, and people are gonna lose stuff from it. For every player that dies with 5sp and loses nothing there's gonna be a player that dies with 5sp and loses a mythic.
    ________________________________
but that still doesn't help when your items despawn when you die.
And this message wasn't in the changelog, how was I supposed to know this was a thing? I wasn't chosen for the beta.
At least the forums won't be spammed if players read that message.

Let me quote my comment on the changelog:

Omg guys stop hating the new soul points system before you actually play with it...

ATM dying in the game isn't punishing at all. If people use /kill for fast travel then something here is just wrong. In lot of other (MMO)RPGs dying is MUCH more punishing. You just got used to an easy game. But it's making the game TOO easy.

First of all, with both SPs systems you have to die LOT of times QUICKLY to lose anything important.
If you die once every 24 mins for 10000000 times, you won't lose anything. Even if you die every 12 mins for 3 hours you just have to afk for a bit or leave the game and come back the next day, you won't lose anything.

In the new system, until 5 SPs you'll just drop few junk items (who cares about these zombie eyes?!) and few emeralds. It won't even matter. Then you'll start drop stuff like powders and scrolls. Stuff that you don't hold in your inventory too often, and they are super cheap.

Only below 5 SP, you have a tiny chance of dropping your items.
Before the new system, dying with less than 3 SP just made you drop everything. With the new system dying with low SP won't hurt you as much, but it's still very risky!

IMO, the new soul points fixed all the problems with the old SPs and dying in the game.
    I like it a lot.
I hope you will like it too after you actually test it and play it.

Only make this kind of threads after you tested the system for a while.

Then at the very minimum can you add mythic items to the no-drop list along with horses and increase the SP limit after 75? I see the logic behind it (and love the analogy) but I still don't find it very fair. Legendaries aren't as much of a big deal now that you can re-id but losing a mythic would be more brutal than a horse.

This is kind of like a mobile game, justifying a recharge rate like candy crush by allowing you to pay to skip ahead, or in this case wait or risk losing items. There should be a faster way around this, perhaps higher max sp/sp regen with levels and gear that increases max sp.

Not sure about the last one, but I guess I agree with your first point. I personally don't own a mythic, but I would be very pissed if mine dropped by chance. It would be far more comforting to mythic owners I'd say if the items they either acquired via extreme luck or massive amounts of money were safe from dropping by chance. I myself would be extremely hesitant to leave the safety of towns if I ever dropped to 5 sp. Rares, uniques, even most legendaries can be replaced relatively simply, but not always mythics.

Then again, I'm sure the CT has thought of everything like this before creating this obviously controversial feature, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had good reasoning for this. The only real way to see how everything turns out will be to play the update when it comes out for real.

So wait and see I guess.

You are saying that you can take the risk and play at 5 sp despite the chanse of droping your items, but let's be honest who is going to continue knowing that theres a chance they can drop their items?

Before you all complain, maybe you should try it out first, since I've made it into the beta I've actually gotten to try it out and for the most part it's not that bad. To be honest I think it's actually pretty nice and is better than the old soul point system. I agree with @Lotem

Maybe you guys think it's bad now but when you try it out you might be like "Oh, it's not as bad as I thought"
Wynn really was just too easy people, there was no difficulty to it but this adds an extra challenge and is a nice new thing.

I have to say, that system seems meh, much more because it remembers me to the mob update(which i wish it never happened, cause i didnt see any change excepting the buildings and maybe the mobs(dont get offended by that,is just my opinion,im sure soo much people liked it) and this makes me think:will that be as bad as the mob update was for me?i hope it doesn't,as the powders and the new dungeons and all this is very good for me

that way of soul points, seems fair, and i have to say:it will let me play less, but hey, atleast i dont have to be scared of losing ALL my items anymore(but if i lose a mythic,it will be like:fuck that world ;-;) at least that will stop the people in forums saying:wtf happened with my inventory?i want it back D:
and next people says him:"wynncraft haves a no-refund policy, and you probably died with 2 or 1 SP"

so in this point is good, but in the point that you can have a chance of losing a mythic,is a very painful thing

that is my opinion about the new SP system
you see me dissappear in the distance

Well, if you do get a mythic (which is like a 1-1 000 000 or something chance) you would actually want to protect that thing like a mother bear would protect its cub. Put some Skill Points into the defence stat (or agility), get some good armour and you should be good.
Below 5 soul points. Most mythics are like level 80+, so you would be around level 80. Being at level 80 gives you 14 or 15 soul points. So, you would needed to die 5 times in one MC day. When the sun rises, you get at least 1 soul point. Also, I think you get soul point when you are offline.

tl;dr: There isn't a problem with having a tiny chance of losing your mythics at 1, 2, 3, 4 or maybe 5 soul points because you have a lot of soul points and you can regenerate soul points quite easily.
