Wynncraft Map Download?

So my friend used a mod called Server Downloader to download the whole Wynn province (Ragni, Detlas, Almuj, Selchar, Nemract, Selchar, Nivla Forest), and he also downloaded everything within that region (paths, hills, etc). The server has plugins and ranks however there is not payment on the server, all ranks have to be gained. The server is a survival server with a decent amount of players on. We included the downloaded Wynncraft map on the server and placed warps to it and gave Grian and his crew full credit for it. As there is no payment going on this server and the credit was given to the server, are we still allowed to use the map? I mean it was nothing written about that in the rules and we are not making money off it eather. If we are not allowed we will take the map down, but we just thought it was cool to explore our favorite server in areas that we could not in game?

I won't give the server Ip here as it it against the rules -_- (sorry)

Im pretty sure its against the rules to download and use the map, people can abuse that to get knowledge on the map without even trying playing the game, i recommend deleting the map and everything.

 

Please don't use our map on your server, we find it to be disrespectful and don't enjoy it. It is also against the rules.

 

It is, but I have no idea how they expect to enforce it.

 

The real question is...

How can you make a survival server out of the Wynn map? There's nothing to build or mine, just a bunch of random blocks and pre-made buildings.

We Wynncraftians are a petty species, and we like to keep stuff to ourselfs, including our likes.

But it also is against the rules, as it's an OP way to find hidden Easter eggs and ways to figure out puzzles.

I mean if you look hard enough there's probably a Salted Chill Room full of paintings of salted.
I mean I downloaded the resource pack and there are some interesting paintings...


The point is that you shouldn't really download it, even if you haven't made money and you did give credit.

Thats pretty mean... Just saying. The builders have been working on this map for more you can expect. I think its kinda a disresoect to just put it in your server as a public map. Of course, there are tons lf people that did this and they didn't advise it so also thanks at least for asking first.

Quoting, from the authors of the mod , "Mainly, this means that it can be used to backup your creations on a server." They probably wouldn't be too happy to learn that you used their mod to steal someone else's map and all of their hard work.

Also, you stated that if it wasn't allowed, that you would take down the map. It's not allowed, as you can plainly see from the comments made by others in response to your questions. Would you please be true to your word, and kindly remove any and all parts of the Wynn map from your server?

Yea he removed it. But I'm pretty sure he still has it on single player. But at least it is off the server.

 

He should delete it from his singleplayer worlds too, as he could at any time sneak into it and find easter eggs.

 

Well I can't make him delete it, my job was to get it off the server, is not my fault people download this great map. The only thing I can do is go to his house and break his laptop which will never happen XD

 

You can get banned for owning the map even in singleplayer.

Also having it on sp is not a huge deal, we are mainly concerned when it's on a public server.
