I would assume the spawn gets overwritten as soon as you set a new one/enter a town. Still, until you delete the spawn point, the player is dedicated to spawn there at all times. That's what Grian didn't want.

Why don't you just use command blocks to set the player's spawn point to Ragni? That seems like the simplest way to solve this problem...

That will be easy for the Hallowynn quest, the main trouble is with the airship quest I forgot the name of.
The problem is that you take the ship but it gets destroyed as you go along. Thst is done by having copies of the same ship, if you die you have to go through all of them again.

True. I actually died in the middle of that quest myself ;w; got stuck with TP

But I just ran through it. Kinda like ToA: When you die in the middle, you just skip through to the part you were at.

However, here's a more complex solution:

Keep track of the player's quest state/stage (ik that's gonna create a ton of scoreboard variables, but that shoudn't make a big difference unless there are lots of quests like this).

Then, when you enter the quest area (step onto the airship), look at the player's quest state and tp to the appropriate place.

Again, only simple on a small scale.

But then you won't be able to help other players.

I just remembered: Wynncraft has already implemented a better version of my suggestion.

Thin Wynnex site D: There's a crystal teleporter to skip ahead to the boss fight, and a normal portal to go on "normally".

That way you'd be able to skip AND help other players :)

In short: Have 1 tp that keeps track of progress, and one that does not.

A way to implement that will be rooms on the first stage of the airship labeled by numbers corresponding to the quest stages. All the rooms are blocked at the start and every time you finish a stage you unlock the next room. The room will have a stone pressure plater with a commandblock that will tp you to the appropriate stage.

This is exactly what you said but with a way to implement it.
@Ackro hppeng found a solution for you.

The kinda sad thing about doing something like this is, like mentioned somewhere above, it might break immersion D:

I guess you could hide it, but it may be awkward with some quests.

Maybe instead of putting all the plates in the first room, you put one on the first room, close to the "spawn" point, then one on the second room, in the "same" spot, etc. with each plate linking to the next. Of course, there would be a barrier/the command blocks would refuse to TP you if you hadn't completed the stage. May help lessen breaking of immersion, because this way there isn't a central "command room".

You could have it as an easter egg on another ship that will fly above the main ship so you can jump down to it.

To not break the immersion, I simply did a little cool thing using the new quest system/storyline system. You know that Attendee in the beginning? Well, your room next to him will now check for two things. If you have gotten to the cutscene part, and if you have completed the quest. It will teleport to the right part of the quest, according to the two checks.

If you think that's a bit too much of a checkpoint gap between beginning and middle of the quest, then, well, I'll just ask; Why did you get off the ship with /kill that early? This fix is mainly for if you die to the queen, or any other fighting.

This fix will, however, not deploy any time soon. The fix requires the new quest system to be implemented, and that won't happen for a while.

If you think there are other quests with somewhat the same problem as FiD has (you need to go through everything to get back to where you were), then you can ask me to check it out, and I'll see if a fix, similar to FiD, is needed.

Never travel without a tp scroll to the nearest town or city. Now, if I could just remember to do that, myself.
