Um, has anyone though of the boots? Memento?

Maybe they have something to do with everything? They promised a memento, gales sight and Ohm's wish. But maybe those boots have something to do with it as well?

And if we look in the lore of gales sight, it says this: "True to their promise, these goggles were left as a memento for Ohms when his lover Gale finally died. Light as air, Gale's carefree nature lends itself to those who don them."

Wait, what? But something is not right, this is the lore of Ohm's wish: "If anyone finds this, leave it at my Gale's gravesite. I promised her a memento, too." This inscription is extremely weathered."

"I promised her a memento too".
That actually says that gale was the first to promise a memento, or that Ohms decided that his wand was to be the memento in the last second.

But then again: "true to their promise" That could mean that Gale and Ohms had a long history together, and the promise of a memento was made long before they died, but most importantly, Gales sight made its way to Ohms grave, or tomb if you wish. Ohm's Wish, never got to Ohms tomb.
Maybe thats why we have gales spirit in the hive? She can not rest until the memento has been given to her!

This could mean 2 things: 1, Gale never got to rest, and 2, Ohms tomb exists somewhere (or it will in the future).
Maybe the two mementos need to be together to open the tombs? or is the boots called "memento" actually the key to knowing the story?

One thing is for sure though, Its fun to speculate in this kind of stuff :D

 

Sorry. Earlier in the thread someone made a joke about thaumcraft (minecraft mod) and ohms being a golemancer (since golems are a big part of thaumcraft. When you said he put his soul in a golem I was making a joke about the intangible mod (another minecraft mod) where you are able to take your soul out of your body and use it to control golems (the whole mod is soul-based).

I was just making a mod joke since earlier someone made a joke about a different mod.

 

1. Memento was already said by Selvut to be completely irrelevant, I believe.
2. Ohms isn't really dead.
3. Ohms' Wish doesn't unlock Gale's tomb.

5) I think that they promised their mementoes way before they died. Or speculated to have died. (like those books where Nicholas Flamel (ffs names :P) didn't die.. I think the first one is Alchemyst... yeah I haven't read them either)
6) It makes sense that Gale wasn't able to rest until her memento was delivered to her grave. If she wasn't able to rest, then why fight for Qira?

Ok so Gale has fire weakness (corruption), air damage (purity), air defense (cuz duh) earth/thunder defense (decay. the thunder might also be defense just cuz Ohms is a thunder mage).

I know who he is. I just don't know the series that starts with the book "Alchemyst" (ITS NOT HARRY POTTER GEEZ)

Ohms' Wish isn't the memento. And I forgot what Ohms' memento is. Yet you said that the memento is Ohms' Wish, when before you said that it wasn't.

Nicholas Flamel created the Sorcerer's Stone (Or the Philosopher's Stone in the UK) to prolong his life. He drinks the juice that comes out of the stone when used correctly, and it increases his life span, making him virtually immortal. Harry has to find this stone. (Thats all i can say without spoilers)

I was saying "Yes it is" as in "Yes, Ohms Wish is his memento." The only other Ohms items are Ohms Bond (which is some kind of key) and Ohms Rage which is unobtainable.

 

The key is for his lab in Luesco (according to the official info thread)

 

Ohms Bond is probably some key used that relates to Gale and Ohms. I never said it opens his lab.

 

There is another series about him (no its not in the Harry Potter series). The thing with the Philosopher's stone is the same idea, however a guy called John Dee is trying to undermine him or something... idk..

I'm cool with spoilers, I've read the Harry Potter series up until book 5 (I'm too lazy to get past the beginning, even though I know that it will be amazing just like all the other books in the series.. I should really read the rest.)

However, correcting myself in this case would perhaps give it away. Seems as though someone is on the right track even with my mistake, however, so I do not think I even need to.

 

The philosopher's stone was supposed, by real life alchemists, to be a real substance that's just very hard to make. These books did not invent it.
Note: no it doesn't exist
