SPOILER Things We Overlooked About Gale And Ohms. (+ Race Theory)

I was talking with a few theorists, @Devourer, @SPYROHAWK, and @Rujala on the topic of Gale and Ohms, and one clue that we missed.

I am about to go MatPat on you, so be ready.


We know at this point (Going off of my old Qira theories based on if Qira is really what shd is shown to be) that Qira is not evil, nor is she a hero either. She is an insane power-hungry war general who is trying to protect herself from the Darkness by creating artificial life forms to use as her army.

We also know that Gale was once a great Air Archer who sided with Qira. She fought alongside Qira and is one of Qira's generals. She was also in love with a certain golemancer, Ohms. They promised each other a memento to leave at their grave, in the form of a powerful weapon. Neither of their mementos ever made it to their graves. But there's one key point in this information that will set the BOMB for this theory:

What happened to Ohms, if he couldn't reach Gale's Tomb?

You're probably like "he never found it". Where does it say he never found it? We have some info that we have gathered from us theorists:

First off, the Dwarven Wars and a forbidden relationship. Nowhere does it say either Ohms or Gale are human. We mostly assumed they were. But here's some info that will blow your mind: Ohms was a golemancer, and there is lore that shows the Dwarves once worked with Golemancy.

If he was a dwarf, he could possibly have died in the Dwarven War with the Doguns. The thing is, he was a MASTER Golemancer, so he has mastered all of the magic in Golemancy. He's not someone to mess with. He's also probably not someone to die unless he was directly involved in the war, as in he was in battles.

[He could have also been going to the Hive to fight there when he met Gale there. He and Gale wanted to leave and live a happy lif, but Qira saw that as a drop in power, which she does not want. So her first reaction is to stop them from leaving. Ohms really wanted Gale to come with him, so he challenged Qira. But, Qira being the power hungry person she is, makes Gale and Ohms fight to the death. Ohms reluctantly kills Gale in the fight, but challenges Qira. Qira was too powerful, and killed him. Even a master Golemancer could not beat Qira, so as Yansur says, wouldn't it be embarassing to be defeated by a human of Wynn?]


Gale has been assumed to be human also, but as with Ohms, it is never said if she really is human. At this moment, we really don't have enough evidence to confirm if she is a certain race though. So, I have two things. Gale may be a human because of the fact that her level is level 101, the same level as the Hero NPC and the highest level a player can currently reach.

She may also be an elf, because unless she was from over a 1000 years ago before Gavel's Gates closed, she had no legit pathway into Gavel. So, she could be an Elf, because of their human appearance and they are native to Gavel.

Unless she illegally went through Jofash Docks and settled in Eltom, she wouldn't be human.


So there you have it. Possible ways Gale and Ohms died, and info on what race they may be. I'll see you soon !

EDIT: Later in thisthread, Selvut says, "How can you be sure that Ohms died?". In the original Info Thread, it said Ohms died. Ohms was a golemancer, and his soul is now in the body of one of his golems, thus prolonging his life. SPYROHAWK has explained more detail in this thread:

It was referencing how most MatPat FNAF theories are so sudden and have one detail that cause the entire story of the fnaf games to have flipped, making his fnaf theories his worst theories imo.

 

Somehow I'm not hyped for it anymore , I lost interest cause of waiting for months for this lore

Some of this does not have any real evidence. It was really just us spitballing ideas.

 

I know, there's a lot of speculation in it, but one thing it does show is that Gale and Ohms, in theory (pun not intended) could be different races than we thought and it will still go with the lore of them.

Ok, that's probably not very important, but interesting nonetheless.

 

Or ohms memento could be inside gales tomb. Cuz nobody opened it we don't know whether ohms made it there or not

 

Except you can get Ohms' Memento as an item, and it's lore want you to bring it to Gale's Gravesite.

 

But why would Qira make Gale fight if she didn't want to lose any power? Qira probably knows her own strength, so it's likely that she knew she could kill Ohms. So either:
a) That part of your theory is wrong
or
b) Qira IS evil, making two lovers fight to the death, then killing the winner.

 

TL;DR Qira is a 8itch, Ohms plays Thaumcraft and Gale is a walk speed a8user

 

It's interesting seeing you all theorize about this. But, something to note.



No theory I have seen has gotten any of the details right.

This is so screwed up and wrong! They were lovers and wouldn't have freaking fought to the death. Also as that one guy said (to lazy to qoute) you are contradicting yourself. If she didn't want to lose them do to a drop of power, why would she have them fight to the death?!? I would honestly just wait for more lore before you speculate off of pretty much nothing.

 

Well, perhaps ohms death was due to too much warp or lack of vis (that was a joke)
