I am exploring a new build style.

I kinda stole the roof design but i really liked it so i used it.

If you have any advice on what i should add or change it is appreciated

I like the layout, but the houses themselves are too blocky. Maybe curve the whole layout of the houses, and add a few extra details. Apart from that, good job!

In a personal preference, to start off with, I like your house shape. You have that going nicely for the most part. Alas, the thing that stuck out for me, was that the cobblestone is contrasting intensely with the dark spruce you have used. In detailing, try and keep the shades at the same end of the scale when it comes to adding depth in houses. Oak goes a little bit more with cobble as it has a higher light value, but Spruce is quite dark and lets the detail (that shouldn't be quite that noticeable), be pushed to the foreground. Try using a softer wood tone, or incorporate the stone feel somewhere else in the build, so it isn't just used in spots around the house; if that makes sense. :P
Although, that is the thing that stuck out for me in a personal view of the build, so if you like it that way, no arguments against it for me. :D There's a few lil areas to kind of go and patch up, but overall, keep up the lovely work. :)

I think the roof could use some different blocks, to give it more texture.

Too many blocks in your terrain palette, try removing the white clay and the planks.
Oh, and the kinda cliffs are very flat, you might need to detail that.

I used to work with a Nordic style as well. Here are some tips I can give you.
    -
Make sure to cover up all the log pillars from the first floor. Nordic styles are known for having a strong base to the house.
Secondly, use dark colors/a variety of browns. You need to get the block choice down before building. Try to use spruce as the walls for second stories and (optional) third stories.
The roof needs a major rework of its shape. Imagine a very steep inclining roof for the build. I'd recomend a 2 block steep roof as the style is also majorly known for having large roofs.
Thirdly, the terrain around the build need to compliment the house and it's colors. We're looking for some rocks and bushes of spruce leaves to give the atmosphere for the build. These houses were built in cold climates.
Fourthly, have different shapes for roofs if needed. No one likes seeing the same shape for a roof. If you find yourself using large roofs too often, you should try to interrupt it with a small roof that slants to one way.
I know thatch is a good option for the roof, but if you're going to use it, make it look thick by adding another layer to it or just using clay or dark wood instead.

Now for the lily pads in the stream. Lily pads do not grow randomly and disconnected. Try to bunch up lily pads close to the shoreline and keep them together. They should never be seen directly in the center of a stream.
If you really want to go for the cold appeal, replace the sand beaches with gravel beaches and use way more stone blocks in the terrain along with some pine trees.

I'll try to show you a picture of my crowded city style using nordic. Hopefully you can grab some inspiration from that.
