Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Now all the girls seem confused.

 

Katie smirks, and starts waving her arms around. I give Katie a strange look.

 

The girls almost perfectly mimic Katie.
A new figure appears on eat set of figurines. This new figure stands a bit away from the girls, and gives them a strange look.

 

Katie starts laughing at the show.

 

All the girls mimic Katie again, yet they make no noise.
"What do you wanna see yourself do?"
Crystal asks curiously.

 

"How about fighting a dragon!" Katie says happily.

 

"I'll try my best!"
All the figures sink, and arises a dragon.
In front of the dragon arises a figurine that looks like Katie.
The dragon roars, and Crystal makes a roaring sound.
The fight begins by the dragon using a breath attack against Katie, and Katie dodging.

 

Katie watches intently, curious.

 

The Katie figure creates think ice ramps around the dragon, almost caging it in an enclosed environment.
The dragon rams into one side of the ice, and manages to break through, making the Katie figure fall onto the dragon's tail.

 

"We're a lot better, thank you."

"Toxic gas? No problem. What sort of things are happening there?"

The girl laughs.
"That's one way of putting it."
She flicks her sword at a group of plants nearby. The plants crackle with magic, before crumbling.
Two plants try to come your left and right, but a rune appears in the air above you, causing them to stop moving.
There don't seem to be any plants left.

 

Katie keeps watching, enthralled at the scene.

 

"No kidding."


"Crystal, you sure we couldn't answer that?"

"And you think it's just the ocean monster, right?"

 

Crystal seems focused on creating Katie's spectacle, but utters out a "Meh."

The dragon moves its tail, making the Katie figure fall to the ground. The dragon then lifts its tail up and smashes it to the ground, almost crushing the faux-Katie. Faux-Katie rolled out of the way in time to dodge the tail, making the tail hit the ground. Faux-Katie then encases the tail in ice, and the dragon tries to move the tail, but cannot.

 

Helianthus nods, continuing to walk along the path, maki sure he doesn't step off.

"The miners have been hearing screaming late at night, and there are also reports of explosions going on down there. It's scaring the miners too much, and one of them accidently released some toxic gas. There's also reports that some miners who went to the deeper parts of the mine didn't return, or when they did return they had lost they're minds and kept on rambling about 'digging too deep'."

 

Mavis just follows you silently, spiraling the path behind you.

Labyrinths, memories, dreams... a myriad of etched images continues to slowly make you lose balance as you go.
"You are about to reach the edge of her palace grounds. Beyond here, I would suggest you avoid traveling through, lest you have a small army with you."

"Is that supposed to mean so- hey, are you even listening?!" Ihra grumbles, impatient.

 

"And why is that?" Helianthus asks.

 

"The creatures outside her palace grounds are lawless. They will attack you on her path, sacred or not."

 

"And are they extremely dangerous and powerful?"

 

"All of them; any wound is a mark for a thing to become a meal."

 

"So you're saying that if I'm wounded, they'll instant attack me?"
