"I figured Aj had a plan, but we could go check on the draconian city that's been established in this world."

 

"We should probably see what the others want to do; and establish a route of stops." Myria says.

 

"Good idea. Aj wanted to stop by any town or place of interest out of boredom, and... That's all I know for now. Where would you want to go?"

 

"I'm open to locations." Myria says.

 

"That's not helpful in making decisions, but okay."

Iruk seems to be idly sitting at the edge of the forest.
"Ihra, did things go well at the Birthlake?"
"Yes, it was a very nice place. If we come again, you should follow the group all the way in."
"Ehh... I dunno. Forests kind of concern me. Too many blind spots."

 

"I can assure you forests are safe. If you want, Artemis or myself could assist you next time." Myria says, smiling.

 

"I suppose so. Many of the others I've worked with failed in forests. If you can cover for that weakness, then I will go next time."

 

"I could only assume the others failed due to the forest itself sensing your presence and harmful intent." Myria says.

 

"I did not know that forests could be a threat in and of themselves. No wonder the Hive Master razed so many."

 

"Forest guardians are designed to protect forests; and while your world doesn't seem to have them, it seems the trait of sentience still rings true here." Myria says, glancing back at the forest.

 

"Ah... I do hope they will spare me eventually on my own."

 

"I'm sure they won't act hostile as long as Artemis or I are in your presence." Myria says.

 

"Thank you. It's... hard to be a robot built for combat that wants... not combat."

 

"I'm proud that you've overcome your nature and pursued a more pacifist path." Myria says, smiling.

 

"It's not that; I'm fine with killing... It's just that the Hive Master programmed me with a flexible personality, and I don't want to kill those who have no reason to die."

 

They shudder.
The second one says, "It was this... giant thing. It appeared out of the sea one day and killed dozens of us, then disappeared. A few days later, it came back. It also took our food. Then, just when we stayed away from the sea, it came from above and attacked with frozen lightning. Ever since, it always attacked from above, and we spent most of the time hidden in caves. Others tried to flee, though it caught many who fled."
Suddenly, a sea serpent appears. It drops a large, round fish-like creature in front of the Wind Dragons, then disappears back into the sea.
They immediately leap towards it and devour the whole fish.

 

"Everyone has their time, though killing without good reason I feel is simply wrong. I'm glad we share the same mentality." Myria says.

 

"Are there others still alive on the wild islands?"

"It's nice to hear a bio has comparable feelings to me. Makes me feel less artificial."

 

"It's nice to hear a faux-living is somewhat human." Myria says happily.

 

"There are still many, but they are hiding in whatever shelter they can find. There are many caves and crevices, so they might be hiding in there. However, everyone has to go out eventually. I'm not even sure if there is any food left. If it comes to it, they might try to eat snow, but they definitely won't last long. The creature could find a way into the caves eventually."

I say telepathically, "I still can't find anything threatening them. It could have left, but I'm not sure. I found some caves I thought Wind Dragons might hide in, but there wasn't a single one inside."
