Old Childhood Games

There is always that one old game that you can never let go. Which games do you really want them to re-make with today's graphics?

For me there are two such games:

Final Fantasy VII
This was the only Final Fantasy game I ever played and it has a great graphics system for 1997 and a very good story behind it. I can spend hours and hours playing it in a day but one thing I never got to accomplish was defeat Ruby and Emerald Weapon until April 2015 on the Steam Version of the game. After defeating both I finally completed one of my childhood goals. I always was afraid of going down into the ocean especially into the Sunken Gelnika since that was one of the Emerald's spawn points and I might exit and run right into it. Back during PS3's early days, I saw a video using PS3 graphics fighting Demon Gate from Temple of the Ancients and was hoping for a remake. Turns out it was just a tech test or something. I really want this game remade soon. Keep the old mechanics I don't care, I just want it with much prettier graphics.

Star Ocean: Till the End Of Time
A PS2 title and one that until this day I have not 100% completed yet. I have a PS2 emulator but still have not finished. Only made it as far as Floor 147 of Sphere 211 post-story and then my PS2 broke and having to make a fresh start on PC. It had great graphics for a PS2 game and the gameplay was solid with a great story. I really would like a remake of it. As far as I know, it is the only game with both a HP and an MP kill mechanic. Meaning even if you run out of MP with full HP, you are still incapacitated. A lot of people don't like it but I do, it makes you alert of both your stats and having to watch out for your MP especially with low-MP characters like Cliff.

The first game I ever played (that wasn't one of those Humoungus Entertainment "games") was Spongebob: The Yellow Avenger on PSP. Idk if a remake would be good, but a sequel on PS Vita and 3DS might not be bad xD

Also Daxter, Daxter was fun.

 

Crash Team Racing, a fun racer that (in my opinion) is better than almost all the others although it was released in 1999. I've spent countless hours playing it with my parents
Gran Turismo 4, this one already has 2 newer versions (a third one will release in november this year) but I just had to add it. It was probably the game I played the most when I was younger (younger aka. ~8-11) ( still playing it sometimes)

 

Adventure Quest, Dragon Fable. (And MechQuest to a lesser extent) The best MMOs of all time. I preferred DF until I missed a massive story event that destroyed the main town. @SpadeZ1 ADVENTURE QUEST SQUAD ROLL OUT

 

I keep trying to get into DragonFable but I can never get past the first few parts

 

I used to play a game on PBSKids in Fetch, where you are a germ and have to invade these guys bodies. I dont think a sequel would be too great though.

 

It got better later.

 

Mario 64 or Zelda OoT

 

I remember looking up videos of people fighting sepulchure

Man I just read the wiki and now I feel like in really missing out on some great lore.

 

Majora's Mask
I think some game called Heretic II
Ultima IX
Favorite was the first Fable game though.

 

yeah the lore was really cool
the writing was really good
and the fishing minigame was crazy (and i liked it lol)

 

SSX Tricky, and its long, long list of sequels that i hated (except for ssx 3).

Original xBox is my favorite console by far, so many gud memories <3

also Pokemon Platinum and Super Smash Bros. Brawl

 

the ones and only... Pokemon fire red and Pokemon emerald... I had no life :P
