Minecraft Isn't Downloading The Server Resource Pack

I want to start playing on Wynncraft but the resource pack isn't downloading.

I have resource packs set to "Enabled" in the server settings. I'm using the latest version of Minecraft, and I tried with both Vanilla and Optifine installed (I don't think my computer can handle the server without Optifine). I tried restarting my client. I tried setting resouce packs to "Prompt" instead of "Enabled." I tried removing the server from my list and re-adding it.

I'm not getting any message indicating that the resource pack is downloading. Everything looks like Vanilla textures.

Is there a known solution to this issue? Googling just told me to set resource packs to "Enabled," which I already did.

 

Use version 1.8.9. The game hasn't fully upgraded to 1.9/1.10, so you may be experiencing some bugs here and there. 1.8.9 is the best version to use when playing Wynncraft.

 

Just installed 1.8.9 and logged on to the server in that version. The resource pack is still not downloading.

 

Check your server resource pack folder, and see if there's a folder called "Legacy" in it. (Legacy is the Wynnpack) Or you can check out this thread: Wynnpack/How to fix by Salted xD The stuff you need should be at the very bottom.

 

Alright, no worries; I've got another solution. Click here for a download to the resource pack. Click 'View Raw' and the file should start downloading. Once downloaded, drag that 'legacy' file into %appdata% > roaming > .minecraft > server-resource-packs. Once that's inside, restart your client and join Wynncraft.

 

Now things are getting weird. I downloaded that file to the server-resource-packs folder (it wasn't there before) and it's still not loading.

I haven't moved past the area you start in with the rules board. Does that make a difference?

 

Well it should be in the "resource-packs" folder, not "server-resource-packs" folder in your minecraft folder.
If it's still not working, you have another thing to try: click edit on the server, and where it says "server resource pack" or whatever, click it until it says "prompt". Then when it prompts you, click yes, and don't start clicking around, just stay on the screen and let it load.

If that doesn't work, try downloading a different resource pack and see if you get the same issue.

All right, I downloaded the "legacy" file, turned it into a .zip, and put it in the right folder. It's now running--kind of. I'm down to zero FPS. Even the menu is incredibly laggy before I so much as log onto the server. I've got Optifine installed and have as many settings as I can set to "Fast."

Is there a lower-resolution version of the pack available?

 

Okay, I wish someone had told me that the pack won't download until I go through the portal from the lobby...
