So I got bored of waiting for my builder application...decided to build a town and it turned into a city

My endgame plan is to make a cave with mobs on one end of the temple. one exit will eventually lead to a beach area. Two leading to a staircase (one done). I need to add extra building for quests; currently am NOT working with Voxelsniper....making the terrain currently a bit difficult and maybe jagged but i'll overcome it/probably get it working soon.

 

I really like how well you had curved the stairs, looks good so far! :) Only thing I'd possibly pick at at this stage of the build is that there's a lot of stone/stone brick. Depending on how you do your surroundings, it could work, or the effect would still be there with overwhelming gray. It also somewhat depends on the lore of it, so I am curious how you'll play it out in the end. Good luck! Don't forget to keep us updated. :D

 

Good start, you remind me of my Earlier Building Self, but the pillars on the sides are too messy and overdetailed, work on a thicker and cleaner look, usually when a pillar is thin and you have trouble dealing with detailing it, make it thicker by radius, and then try cleaner and more contemporary details to fit the build. It doesn't always have to be hardcore block spam to make it look all pro, in my recent builds iv'e made use of cleaner styles and techniques. I look forward to seeing more.

 

It's good advice, but regardless, they did mention they were fixing that. :P

 

Yea, the temple was built from a long time ago: It was back when I didn't fully understand proper detailing and etc on Vadact.

What some consider block spam, others consider detail. Think about how others think, not just about how you think.
