Is Assassin Really That Bad?

Well, see, if you're one of those people that still play for fun, assassin's where it's at. The spells are just too awesome.

Yea... its sad how assassin is your highest lvl'd class.

 

No, the comment about the glass cannons thing. Where'd anyone get -that- idea?

Also, why is it sad? I just have the most fun playing Assassin...

 

IDK, maybe when you ranted about arrow shield being too OP, I guess.. maybe something else? xD

 

Sad out of the irony of the other person's sentence who says you "hate" glass cannons when the person plays assassin most (which is technically a glass cannon)

 

Given its stat spread with 100% damage and 100% defense, I'd beg to differ on the glass cannon bit.

 

Oh yea... i forgot that assassin is technically the 2nd most bulkiest class... man.... assassin really didnt have competition at all except for warrior on the defense part where I forgot that assassin takes THAT little damage.

 

Infinite vanish? No.

 

I know all this... I just don't like it as a class (and for some reason I got it to 100 lol)

 

How would it be infinite vanish?
Vanish costs mana to cast, just not having mana be consumed during vanish would make it a more viable mobility/combat utility.

 

For the record, I love playing assassin. You have so many options, from creating paranoia in your enemies to knocking them around to prevent them from having a secure grip on your location to using smoke bombs to flush out archers and mages who camp (especially at detlas, where the smoke bomb can go through the walls and roof and damage them without me having to expose myself). With the upcoming powder update, I can see the air prison being used extremely well on the assassin, as it allows you to force an enemy in the direction you want them to go. Overall, you get some great control on the pacing of the fight and the opponent's psyche

But without mana consumption, you would have no real need to ever not be vanished, as the spell cost of vanish would be regenned WHILE you're vanished

yeah, it's got a REALLY high skill ceiling, but it's definitely fun and fits my playstyle so

 

No mana lost does not equal mana is regened

 

Even then, if mana consumption wasn't there you would only need to wait for one second to regen back the cost to cast this.

 

One thing I don't see too many talk about when it comes to Assassin is that Multihit doesn't consume any mana if it doesn't touch any mobs (at least for me at least?) which makes it a good move for distancing yourself from mobs by going backwards and constantly clicking RLL.

 

except mana consumption ramp up still occurs in which case it would be better to use vanish if you plan on fighting again
