That's why I added those arrows in one of the pictures. I drew the provinces too big just so I could get the shape down (I am no artist) so I really wanted to point out that the sizes are variable.

 

Corkus is not a joke! How dare you?

 

I disagree, I think Fruma is a really rich and powerful province and the problem is civil not magical.

Desolation is just a fancy word for destruction, emptiness, loneliness which fits well with Dern's state according to whispers.

As for the location of the provinces, I think you're close about Dern's position because it has to be near Dernel Jungle, Abandoned Mines, Silverfish Dungeon, Dead Island and Jofash Docks for lore reasons (including Bob's journey to Dern).

But for Fruma I see no reason for it being so close to Gavel, I honestly think the RectangleDream position for Fruma fits better.

It's not extremely unrealistic for that person you were talking about to have run from Gavel to Fruma by crossing the Ocean first, think about modern day refugee's, they're closer to Europe but some end up in Canada and shit.

 

I thought about desolation being related to Dern due to some other reasons (example being an item called "Dern's desolation") but if Dern already has darkness, could it really have desolation as well? But I hear what you are saying, a civil problem could be a really cool idea, and it could fit.

As what you say about Fruma, I guess it could make sense. I have heard many people with that opinion. I just like the thought of every province having a gate to each other (I know I did not draw a Fruma-Dern gate or a specific Gavel-Dern gate, but those are possible). Plus I personally think it's more realistic.

And no. Even without Fruma touching Gavel it would still not be rectangle dream due to Dern's shape. Sorry.

 

Dern's problem is not Darkness.

First it wouldn't make sense. It is the opposite of Gavel, which means it's alternate Realm is Darkness and it's problem is something else, believed to be Life according to the choices (out of Evil, Dark, Dern, Sexy, Life only Life makes sense), similar to how Gavel's alternate realm is Light and it's problem is Decay.

Secondly in the basement in the Dernel Jungle the Ancient specifically states, "IT'S NOT DARKNESS, I'TS ////", the slashes representing four missing letters.

I know, I was just saying the area of Fruma on that map fits better.

It's commonly believed the problem in Dern was that the realm of darkness took over the province (similarly to what the corruption tried to do in Wynn). Life would be interesting indeed, but idk

 

I agree on that theory as to what happened in Dern but I believe that's why Life as a problem would be so fitting.

The cycle of Life leads to the inevitability of Death or Desolation, in your words.

Oooh even better! Some Pete have been saying they think Fruma might have a civil problem instead of a magic one. What if it's like some rebels want to split the province in 2, with the new province being called Corkus I the main storyline, and your job is to help make peace

Actually, I did a project with MrCoffeeTime a while back (it was obviously about Corkus) and we kinsa just abandoned it.
It was going well, too.
I have a few threads that I never actually posted, mostly really dumb theories I made before.

 

Remember if you have a theory that you don't know if it's good or not, you can always PM me. I may know better than anyone what not to do in a theory (there was like legit a whole thread devote to just yelling at me)
