Honestly I think you are looking at this the wrong way. We have some basic forces in Wynncraft so far: Darkness, Corruption, Decay, Desolation, Light. But some of us have been poking around at the exact same stuff you just talked about. The concept of "Cosmic Magic" was something some theorists began to look into.

Many quests and locations reference it, and what you are talking about is more tied into it that anything else. I don't understand how you got from ??? To the realms being provinces, but I believe you started on the right path then took a wrong turn.

Also it was confirmed on the wynncraft website that Dern is a province, NOT a realm. Sorry.

...You misunderstand. "Realms" are planets according to OP, not provinces.

It was my understanding that it was said Dern should be thought of as a province, not that it was confirmed to be one.

Or, Dern is a province in the Dark realm. We know civilization is possible in the light realm, so why not the dark realm? It would be very likely for the dark realm to be more advanced as well; they have been winning the war for a thousand years.

it really gets on my nerve when you say "us" like you and a group of high elite members of the community who were chosen as THE theorists(no hate twords any of you and your theorists are mostly good but honestly a theory is a theory it cant be bad or good it can only have a lot of evidence supporting it to none evidence supporting it) , he isnt talking about cosmic magic he is simply talking about the science explanation to all of the magic in wynn (well he isnt talking about that but he is talking about a subject that is included under that subject)
and if you actually did ??? and the rest than you should know what he meant if you dont than show me a proof you know about it and i will explain in a conv

I understand what he says in the OP. But he also calls Dern a realm which is a debate that has been gone over WAY too many times. Dern is a province according to the Wynncraft website and I believe that's final.

When I say "us" I mean anyone who likes to theorize. Not a specific group, not some elite members, but the theorists in the community (or at least the ones I have talked to). I don't mean to sound excluding or like I am only talking about a handful of people, I did not mean for it to come out that way.

Anyway to continue on what you said I know he was trying to find a scientific explanation, but he did not really provide much insight other than an highly censored dialog between him and Kerby. The stuff that makes him think the realms are planets (weather that be right or wrong) seems to be the same stuff that fits under cosmic magic, which is why I brought it up. I totally understand what he is saying, I am just saying it could be something else.

As for your last statement that argument went on WAY too long, and it does not to be brought back up. The wynncraft website says "4 provinces" so let's leave it like that.

The reason they were studying the meteors was because they knew cosmic magic was powerful. There is zero evidence showing that cosmic magic is linked to the realms, in fact, they seem to be quite seperated.

I believe decay is caused by darkness, not a separate force.

 

actually i'd say it's more similar to the idea of 'impure Light' rather than Darkness

 

It seems that way because the light is fighting back against the dark, and it's presence still exists there. I'm saying the force driving the decay is the darkness.

 

According to taproot it was caused by "the villager's sin" aka greed. Not darkness. However there is proof of darkness being in gavel through other means.

 

Greed weakened the bonds between Gavel and The Light, which allowed the darkness to enter Gavel. This is what I think caused the Decay.

 

Could be, We still don't know too much about it IMO.

Considering all the signs of darkness so far in gavel have either been in the dark forest or kander forest, I guess it could work.

I believe one of the admins ( I think Salted) once said that "Dern isn't 100% a province, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't think of it as one." So no need to be all "the website says dern is a province and that's final"

But how do you know it is the questbook of the person him/herself? And not just a picture stolen from someone.

 

ask them how long it took them to realize and ask them what they realized

That was Grian, and it was actually on one of my threads. But that's not why I say it is confirmed a province.

On the wynncraft site it says in the info section "the four provinces". If there are 4 provinces, Dern must be a province (unless Corkus gets added). Trust me, I used to be 100% for Dern being a realm, but this kind of proof can't be argued against.
