Well, the rules were updated after that, so you do have a leg to stand on (especially with the 9/7 wipe removing all threads).

 

These rules where last updated on 29th September 2015.

 

I want to point out that if you were banned for spamming in the lobby it was probably something while the servers are down and everyone was just typing random characters while mods were asking people to stop spamming while their names weren't orange because the server was having a meltdown.

Either way if that is the case then you should have been unbanned if you made an appeal about it because we really only ban for spamming under certain circumstances and we always tell the player in question to stop and we always mute beforehand.

Now if it was spamming through messaging and it was in a harassing sort of way that is a different story.

You are the reason why we have so many rules now.

Well then you really just need to wait and not take your anger out on everyone. It's not a very good attitude if you want to be unbanned.

 

@Fox, you misrepresent, and skew what I have said, to such an extent, that we will just have to agree to disagree on many points. I will not pick through the massive amount of misrepresentation of what I have said to correct you, such is the level of misrepresentations that you have made.

Further, your issue with Wynncraft, concerning what may or may not be copyrighted material that you or others may or may not have made, and posted in these forums, is your issue. Please, don't try to either take it out on me, as you have, nor forcefully involve me in it, as you have also tried to do. Please also note that images and work posted on a website may become property of that website, under certain conditions, whether or not a copyright notice is posted on said images and work. You may look up the case precedents if you so choose.

 

I'll add this to what Pretzule said: All bans are permanent, unless otherwise specified, unless appealed, to the best of my knowledge. AND, that last sentence may be the most important point of everything. There is always flexibility (unless an admin hammers you). Be nice.

I want to clarify two things.

1. A rules page is not a contract, so claiming that something isn't there doesn't mean you can get away with it. A server operator is not under any obligation to let you play, so claiming "it wasn't in the rules" about something that is common sense is a good way to stay banned and then get it added to the rules after the fact.

2. As I've said on other threads, downloading the map isn't illegal by any means (please don't say it is), but we may punish you for doing so if we find out. Making the map available for others to download, however, may be copyright infringement.

 

The segregation of thoughts: That's a discussion. I compared yours to mine. If you're not willing to take it, you just validate all I said priorly.

I dealt with the problem months ago. I had not mentioned it to no one but today because the situation prompted. I am not involving you either, are you an artist, or someone to be affected, to begin with? My issue has been dealt with, you can't be involved either. Being jingoistic about it will not get you anywhere, nor the authors who's copyright is avoided right now.

... that's not how this works. First of all, that ToS page is for the forums. The rules for the server are on a separate page. Even assuming the ToS applies to the server as well, there is nothing there that says we guarantee you access to the server (or forums) if you abide by it. I'm also confused by your use of "dictatorial", everything that I've stated is standard practice for server operators. No one is obligated to let you play.

 

I know. You're right about it, however what I say isn't a lie. I'm not targeting in-game either—since I don't even know where those terms are even allocated, y'all are so secretive about it. Nobody is obligating me to play, or more specifically to be part of these forums, but that doesn't makes it fine to condone censorship, or autocracy, and so on and so on.

 

If I decide, as I have, to not engage with you further on these topics, it is not because I am afraid. It is, rather, that you are intellectually dishonest, and I, therefore, choose to not engage with you.

You quoted me, in your post, concerning this topic, and inquired of me, my opinion. Again, you are being intellectually dishonest in claiming that you did not involve me in same.

A server, like any other business, is not a democracy and does not need to conduct itself in that manner.

 

Since when do we permanently ban people for spamming in the lobby? I reported a guy 3 times throughout the day for spamming in Detlas yesterday and for all I know he's still able to play.

Like honestly, if it was just spamming and it wasn't even ingame, I don't think a permanent ban is warranted unless what he was spamming was really inappropriate.
