So, TheHipster said that because the Succoru parasites were there, then the "Darkness" must've touched the light. Before, though, SadowMage1 said that the Eye didn't even have to touch the light. But now you're saying the opposite?? Like, my interpretation of the previous quote was that disease gets transmitted from one person to another - physically. So pretend that the Darkness is a disease - it would have to touch the light in order to infect it. But that's not the case - The polio virus spread through the air - there was no real physical contact needed. So, this brings us back to square 1: The darkness doesn't need to physically touch the light if it has properties of the Polio Virus, but it also needs to touch the light, if it has properties like other diseases.

So then, how does the darkness spread? And where it spreads, corruption forms... the corruption that plagues the land of Wynn. So then you must ask How does the corruption spread?

I said that the parasites were caused because of the Villagers thoughts and greed influencing the Realm of Light which is supported w/ evidence from quest dialogue

He said that The Eye has been in the Realm of Light

I said that's impossible because The Eye is Pure Darkness and the Realm of Light is Pure Light and if it touched The Eye would logically hurt itself and if they did touch that would dirupt the balance of the realms and if The Eye could touch the Realm of Light why has it not already claimed all Provinces?

He said that the parasites are required to be in physical contact to be transmitted like IRL

It doesn't make sense as there was no mention of The Eye being present in the Realm of Light at all in the 3 quests (Finding The Light, Taproot, Realm of Light)

In your post about disease, you said to think about how a disease would get transmitted Physically across oceans. (<- kinda confusing sentence b/c I'm not that great with words xD) How does it get transmitted? Physically. Let's take the Ebola Virus for example. 1 guy from the states was visiting Africa, and somehow he picked up the virus - it wasn't detected before he got on his flight home. When he got home, he still has the Ebola virus, right? So then - by being around this guy, people got infected, and so on and so forth - this was in like, a small town? Tbh I forget..
So anyways my point is that (and you said this too or implied it) a disease that gets transmitted physically.. gets transmitted physically.

How would the darkness/the eye throw the succoru parasites over? It's literally from 1 realm to another - they would need to throw it through a portal (or 2 if the darkness/eye is in another realm [presumably made of darkness])

Most likely the villagers' greed weakened a "barrier," allowing the darkness to enter through said weaknesses.

It didn't magically appear.

 

You're taking the words of Elves who have different ideologies than the Villagers. If you read the entire dialogue from Togak, which you can find here https://wiki.wynncraft.com/index.php?title=Aldorei's_Secret_Part_II, the Elves believe that the Villager's greed is causing the purity of Light to weaken, but also said that they may be wrong.

 

And this is why the lore is so confusing, because of all the different perspectives. It makes the world seem real, yes, but it's also confusing xD
Or at least, it's confusing until you finally make sense of it.
