Is This Bannable?

If sharing information about the "???" Quest without knowing its bannable, does the player sharing it still get banned?

 

Of course he does. It's up to the person sharing info about ??? to read the rules... *the irony*

 

I think both players get banned, @Tantibus do both get banned, the guy who tells the other guy the info gets banned, or the guy who gets the info gets banned?

 

He is asking does the player sharing info about ??? get banned if he didn't know sharing info about ??? was bannable.

 

I swear I didn't even see that... Anyway yeah the sharer gets banned AND the guy recieving the info.

Where was the info about the game shared?
If on the forums, I guess.
If in the game, unless the game itself says no talking about ???, it shouldn't be. Not everyone visits the forums, and it's natural to talk about the game.

Under the "Wynncraft" sub-forum is clearly states what happens if you share info about the "???" quest.

If you talk about "???" anywhere and the staff find out, you can get banned.

 

Ignorance is the opposite of knowledge, and has many definitions.
But to be quiet honest, I just wanted to use that quote ;^:

There are annoucements telling you to read the rules online.
Also, referring to my quote: If you shoot someone, but "didn't know it wasn't allowed", do you stay free?

 

You should always familiarise yourself with the rules.

If you do something without knowing it's a rule then it's your fault for not reading the rules.

You understood me wrong.
Game rules are not equal to forum rules. Game itself should provide you with the rules, not forums, which are not mandatory part of the game.
But like Ascended Kitten said, game tells you to visit the forums to read the rules. I didn't know that, and basically answers my question and concern.

I know what you mean. This isn't Korea, you can't censor things. If someone wants to share the info somewhere where you have no control, you can't stop that.
I understand why they banned talking about ???, but their method of preventing it isn't really that effective.

Well this being Grian's server, he can censor whatever he wants. He has a system where people can be muted, hence, censoring them and limiting speech. Overall, people should know the rules. Every single game has rules, if you're playing anything, you should know the rules.

 

Though the thing is, this server never mutes people... like never. I'm pretty sure. In my opinion, being banned for releasing info about the "???" quest is the right sort of punishment for this.

 

What if I decide to post about ??? on youtube? How are you going to stop me from doing that?
How about I make a facebook, reddit, wiki section dedicated to solving ???. You can ban me from forums and game, but that won't stop the info about ???
That was my whole point, which is exactly what happened with the relics.
