Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"If you wish to leave, you know where the door is."

 

"No, it's fine." Stephanie says, putting her hands near to her head and pretending to lift off a helmet; she disappears shortly after.


Stephanie gets up from the ground, dusting herself off.

 

"Hey. How'd it go? I couldn't sense you for the last few minutes there."
Crystal asks, looking at Stephanie once she gets up.

 

"I couldn't find anything; apart from your memories." Stephanie lies.

 

"Oh... Well, thanks anyways! At least I know for sure now."
Crystal still seems cheerful.

 

"Yeah; thanks for letting me enter your mind." Stephanie says.

 

"No problem! Hey, I think I might need to go check on Katie. See you another time!"
And before Stephanie can respond, Crystal cheerfully runs into the lake to go check on Katie.

I get up from laying down, look at Crystal, then to Stephanie, and start to walk over to her.

 

Stephanie just watches you walk over.

 

Crystal swims down to where Katie is/was.

Once I get closer, I ask Stephanie,
"What did he want you to find, exactly?"

 

Katie's still asleep; looking the same as she was before.


"Whatever brought him to life, which I did. The thing didn't want Crystal to know though." Stephanie says.

 

Crystal decides to sit down next to Katie, and watch her some more.

"Was it nice? The thing, I mean."

 

Katie just remains peacefully asleep, bubbles occasionally rising from her mouth.


"I guess? It looked like you, because it didn't have a physical form. It certainly seemed like it had seen and knew a lot." Stephanie says.

 

Crystal draws a circle around Katie in the sand.

"What was it, then? Did it even give you a name?"
I'm clearly intrigued.

 

"Voidfiller." Stephanie says.

 

Crystal continues drawing the circle, making it deeper and wider.

"As a name, or what he is? It seems like it could fit both."

 

"Name; though who knows. He could be a voidfiller." Stephanie says.

 

Crystal attempts to fit inside the ring he created, shape-shifting into it.

"Have you seen anything about a voidfiller in your tome? A voidfiller would be a correct name, though, as he filled the void where Crystals life was not."

 

"Not yet, but who knows. There's a lot to read." Stephanie says.

 

"But why did he not want Crystal to know he was there?"

 

"He's a scientist, and Crystal was his experiment. He wanted to see what Crystal would act like on his own." Stephanie says.
