Did they not know that putting the title for the quest as ??? would lead to more trouble?

Since ? is put at the end of a question, this title having no context implies that the first ? is the question and the second ? is the questionmark however since there is a third ? we have to assume the first ? is not a question at all but the questionmark itself and the second ? is an emphasize on that and the third ? implies that we must continue the pattern.
