Item Contest Winners Request

Awhile ago, before Gavel came out, there was a contest for naming some items. Players submitted some names, and the best few were picked for a variety of items! People had a lot of fun with the contest, and they got to see their ideas come to life in the game, right?

...right?



Eheh, well, no. That thread got lost in the 9/7 wipe, and the items never actually got made. I wasn't on the content team when that contest was being held, so I had no control over it, but I still feel bad that the winners never got their items.

So, I've got a couple of things to ask you all.



First off! Does anyone remember any of the winner's item names?! I really feel awful that the items never got put in. While I can't guarantee the type or tier will be the same, I still want those names to be used and have more community involvement! So, if anyone remembers the winning names, tell me! Post it down below, and I'll create the item! I'd like this to be taken seriously, as well, please try not to take advantage of this, because I'll try to corroborate it with the other content team members!

EDIT: The names Aersectra and Sigil of Existence have been found! Need the others still!

Secondly! The poll has concluded, and the item contests will be held regularly! The details still need to be worked out, but I assure you, they'll happen! A separate thread on them will appear soon, so get brainstorming!

What with the creativity in the community, why not let players design a few templates for items and have the team edit them to balance them out?

 

Sure! It would be nice to see the community begin to affect the actual game more like this.

Can we create our own lore for the item names? It would really add a lot of personality to the item names we created!

 

That's a little bit titchy, same with the "I want to make a whole item" deal. I have it on the poll, but I'll probably only do it if we get an -overwhelming- majority. Even then, I'll have to balance it and reeeeally scrutinize items.

This will be interesting indeed..... I have plenty of ideas, yet most of them references something very few people know of here.... except @JessSenpai

Oh, and according to that thread, @Acer already had the name for the spear, so there is no spear, all we need is the dagger....
