Opinions Of Zentrela

A lot of people hive tried Zentrela, a new Minecraft MMO server recently featured in @Glitchedslayer's video. How do you feel about the server? Does it have potential? Does it suck terribly? From the ~30 minutes I played on it, I personally really like where this server is headed and it could be what a lot of people bored of Wynncraft are looking for- even if it has little content at the minute.

 

As long as threads about Zentrela don't pop up everywhere on these forums I don't give 2 shits.

 

Why is everyone going mental about this. I made a profile post explaining most of this.

 

It's another acually GOOD Minecraft RPG. Although it does lack a ton of content

 

There has actually been 3 patches since ive made the video. T5 mobs, mob mechanics, /roll for loot grinding, ect.

Its pretty new with little content but it is updating quick

 

I know about how fast it patches. Also hey, the owner thanked you for making a video on the server

 

Had to ask him cause the discord group said the server might flood since it only has 10/20 slots

 

I believe it was updated, when I went on it had 57/100 people on

 

Stuff I don't like about it:
1. Info features are mostly command based
2. It throws all the shit at your face the first time you play, meaning you won't remember most of the stuff
3. Overall too much usless shit to remember
4. Where the hell is everything? The moment I left the starter town there was literally nothing! No trees, no buildings, no mobs... Only terribly built giant animals.
5. Every single thing you do causes a message in chat appear, causing spam

Things I like about it:
1. Clear tutorial, even though it doesn't really fit into the nonexistent story
2. A few cool spells

 

1. Yea, i'd imagine he fixes that after finishing the more important things
2. use /help and the top row is basically like a glossary
3. Like? many things will become important later
4. Again, new server. Should of seem pre ocean wynn
5. Do /options and you can turn everything off.

 

Eh, wynncraft has always been great, even when it first came out, and this is nowhere near as good as original wynn! And I refuse using commands while playing, since I'm too lazy to do it. Toggling the messages off from options was useful, but how was I supposed to know I could do it that way? ;w;

 

In my opinion, it is really fun and is going to be a rival to Wynn.
I personally think a rivalry would be good for both servers, as it would push each to make more content.

 

As someone who frequently browses TF2 forums when Overwatch was going to release, rivalry causes a lot of flame wars and makes both sides put giant expectations on developers (ESPECIALLY the ones who came first, like TF2 and us), I don't want that kind of rivalry debate to form here, please.

 

it's okay i guess?
it feels really.. lacking.
like yeah i get they just opened it but.. it feels weird.

for example, where is everything? it's a town, a graveyard, and a hill. that's as far as i bothered to go.
it feels very complicated. i didn't realize that i had other spells till i was level 7.
leveling is bullshit. it takes longer than it should. i leveled 6 - 8 and just kind of felt like i was wasting my time.
the quests seem pointless. the first one is a tutorial, the second one you go get drops, the third one you hold down right click, and the last one you go get more drops.

the server has potential, i just don't think it's being executed well.

 

It has a ton of potential. I hope it uses it correctly.

 

In my opinion it seems like a mix of the spell system and quests of Wynncraft combined with the map and item system of Dungeon Realms. It definitely has a better tutorial (Telling you how to do quests and more stuff other than just spells) but the map is... not great. It seems empty a lot of times. Wynncraft has little buildings and caves to explore everywhere, and they all seem to tell some kind of story- Hell, even Dungeon Realms has stuff standing around. In Zentrela the few things that aren't tied into a quest (So far basically everything I've seen is part of a quest) seem empty and unfinished; No inhabitants, yet completely new-looking. It just doesn't have the same kind of life in it's world as Wynncraft does.

EDIT: There are 5 or 6 quests total in the game so far. Hope those are added soon.

 

Let's just take a moment of silence and remember Wynn when it started, then look at Zentrela.

 

For two weeks worth of work, its very impressive. The map isn't detailed at all, but there's plenty of room to put new things for quests and expand the content it has. The owner had to teach himself world painter and made the map in a few days, which is pretty good for one person with little experience. I'm definitely looking forward to what the server has to offer, although right now obviously Wynn is superior. But what do you expect when Wynn has a huge team of builders and staff and have been around for years, when Zentrela has been around for a few weeks with no more than 10 staff?

 

yea your right man i am going to check it out now hopefully soon in the future they put even more work in which would make it way beter
