"That's what compliments are for, giving respect and recognition where they are both due."
I smile.

 

Katie can't help but smile.

"I think you've gone too long unrecognised. Hooray for Katie!" I say happily.

"Hooray for Katie!" Abigail says, joining in.

"Hooray for Katie!" Stephanie says, looking up from her tome.

Katie just keeps smiling, "Thanks you guys, you really know how to make me feel loved!" She says joyfully.

 

"And that's what friends are for."
Crystal smiles.
"I guess that phrase is used a lot, but a lot of the time, it's true."

 

"Yeah, haha. I have some great friends, you included!" Katie says, smiling at Crystal.

 

"Aww. Thanks!"
Crystal smiles as well.

 

"I feel like nothing can spoil this moment, this moment is lovely." I say, smiling.

Katie suddenly hugs me, smiling.

 

"That's sweet."
Crystal says calmly but cheerfully.
"Although, ehm..."
I start looking around.

 

Katie lets go after a moment and hugs Abigail.

"What?" I ask, looking around too.

 

Spotting Artemis over by Por, I turn back to AJ.
"Nothing. It's fine now."

 

Katie lets go of Abigail and hugs Stephanie, who still tries to read her tome.

"Oh, alright." I say calmly.

 

Crystal simply smiles at Katie's cheerfulness, while I just look around, not for anything in particular.

 

Katie lets go of Stephanie, who goes back to reading her tome normally, and walks over to Crystal; before hugging him.

 

He hugs back for a bit, and it's still like hugging a cold rock.

 

Katie lets go after a moment, and walks back to the group.

Most of us look unsure what to do, except for Stephanie, who keeps reading her tome.

 

Crystal decides to entertain himself, and to do so, he starts by backing up and jumping into the lake.
I just sit down, and relax.

 

I fall onto my back, and just stare through the trees. Abigail starts playing with fire, though trying to not burn anything, and Katie runs back into the forest.

A few moments later, Katie slides along a path of ice that ramps up at the end, and she does a backflip into the birthlake.

 

I look around for the root.

 

If Katie looked when she went in, she would see Crystal, staring up at her and the ramp from the bottom of the lake.
Crystal claps, and parts the water where he does, causing it to go the same speed as a normal clap.

 

Katie just lets herself sink to the bottom of the birthlake, turning to face upwards as she does so. Katie comes to rest on the bottom of the birthlake and simply lays there.

 

After some rustling in the water, Katie can hear a familiar voice to her right.
"Boop."
The voice says as Katie get very lightly touched on the top of the head.
