Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh. It seems like you shouldn't mess with lights around him, huh."
Crystal says, looking at Aj.

 

"Yeah, he's a...um...Shadow." Katie says, somewhat nervously.

 

Crystal looks at you, confused.
"Wait, so he's been risen out of someone's shadow? Or he's just a creature who's race was named Shadow?"

 

"They're called Shadows because they mimic the looks of their hosts, but they're really creatures of darkness." Katie explains.

 

"Oh."
Crystal seems confused once again.
"So, what are you bunch doing? You don't look like tourists, you don't seem like a happy bunch of friends that always knew each other, and I've never even seen or heard of a Shadow, whatever Ihra is, or water guardians."

 

"Well, I originally came to help out one of my other friends, Abigail. We're on a big adventure to help Ihra; but I'm not really sure what we're doing." Katie says, giggling.

 

"No, but we can just travel to the northwest until we come across a small town. They won't be marked on a ap, but this area is settled." I pause. "Hopefully we can find safety there, they're very accepting, so I hope they'll let us in their land. After that, I suppose I'd go back here and look for revenge."

 

"Well, that's kind of strange, but at least you know you're helping out somebody!"
Crystal says, cheerfully.

 

"Yeah!" Katie says happily, "You sound a little different; are you ok?"

 

"Huh? Yeah, I'm fine!"

OOC: It was the result of a typer's bad job of checking over what he wrote.

 

"Oh, good. Does your voice normally change like that?" Katie asks, curious.

OOC: I wanted to point it out ;33

 

OOC: Alright.

"Not sure. It's not like I have vocal chords, so my voice night not be consistent. Never really wondered or asked about specifics like that."

 

"That's strange. Does that mean you can copy people's voices?" Katie asks.

 

"Maybe. Just like turning into a sword, I've never tried. I find it a bit disturbing though, the though of having someone else's exact voice come out of my mouth. I might try it sometime, though."

 

"It could come in useful if you wanted to trick someone." Katie says, smiling.

 

Crystal smiles as well.
"Yeah. It could. But I'm still not sure how it could work, or anything. Would I have to hear the person say certain words to say it back in their voice? Is all I have to do just try to change my voice? Are there certain voices that I can and cannot do? I'm really not sure."

 

"Yes, the forest can grow strong barriers. You would be surprised at how strong a forest is if the winds around it blow away fires. Many beings in the forest can attack other beings too. Some plants even know magic, which they can draw in large amounts from the lake."

"If you want to. Sadly, as we, the water, cannot leave the lake, we cannot assist you with that."

As she walks down the path, it closes behind her, just like it did before. The path ahead continues to open as Artemis moves along it.
She can see a figure in the distance, who she recognises as Terrae. He seems to be holding something up in the air.
Yver finally manages to catch up with Artemis.

The forest continues to grow darker.
Terrae hears something whisper menacingly, "Do you like being hunted? Because this going to be fun... hehehe..."
Something moves in front of Terrae among the trees.

 

Katie just looks at Crystal, confused.

"Maybe you should stick to your own voice for now, haha." Katie says, laughing.

"That's alright, I'm sure we'll be fine." Katie says.


Artemis picks Yver up and throws herself towards Terrae using a vine hand; aiming to land near to him.

 

"Yeah probably."
Pause.
"As a water guardian, you have other abilities than turning your legs into a tail, right?"
Crystal asks.

 

"I can control water, freeze water and breathe underwater, amongst other things." Katie says happily.
