Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"What did you expect it to be?"

 

"Well... good point."

 

After a few moments, the thing says,
"What's your name? I don't think I've seen you around before."

 

"I'm Ihra. What's your name?"

 

"Crystal. Nice to meet you."
It looks at its own arm, then says.
"Okay, a bit unoriginal, but I like it."

 

"Well, it's fitting. Nice to meet you too."
Pause.
"Were you created by this lake?"

 

"Ah...I see..." I say, "Well, thank you for this chat, Uhm, Kay was it? I would appreciate it if the path to the Birthlake opened up again."

 

"Not sure what I was created by, but it sure wasn't by this lake. Saw a few neat, unique, things in the forest, but none of them seemed to notice me. Is that what you mean by things created by the lake?"

 

"Yes... I think... I don't really know. Still, if the forest doesn't notice you, then you must not be alive... technically."

 

"If you think about it, that's a really easy conclusion to jump to. I could probably pass as a random crystal at the bottom of the lake if someone didn't see my eyes."

 

"Well... You've already done that, to be honest. Do you know how you got here?"

 

"Walking."
Crystal says quite bluntly.

 

"Well, you clearly don't walk ON water... How long did you spend at the bottom of the ocean?"

 

"I didn't really have a reason to keep track, so I didn't. But I did come off of mainland. I don't mind it, anyways. And for the record, I can walk on water. It simply takes more energy than walking through it and occasionally boosting yourself."

 

"Boosting yourself? You mean, swimming?"

 

"No. Jumping off the ground and forcing the water to push you. So I guess it's swimming without physical effort."

 

"Oh. Yeah, that works."

 

"So, who are your friends? I see a couple more have arrived."
Crystal says, just about looking over Ihra's shoulder.

 

"Well, Thirteen is a robot, Ragnyon's an oracle, Ruby's... not here, and Rineth is my caretaker. Who also isn't here. There's more than just them, though."

 

"Cool."
Pause.
"But I'm still not sure which one's which."
