Okay.. so I see people who get called "scammers" pretty often, for example doing things like this:

    *buys chestnut horse for 10le*
    *sells chesnut horse for 15le*
*gets called a scammer for selling It for more than what they paid*

This is the work of a secret cult, accusing people of being scammers and they need to be stopped, because selling things for more than they were bought for is called "marketting" or that's atleast what I refer to it as.
It's basically buying and selling stuff with the intention of making profit in emeralds, eb or le.

Now I'm not saying you should go ahead saying 1le for a mythic item is a "fair" deal. But 50le for something worth 70le isn't a scam as a scam is something that's "grossly overpriced" and probably grossly underpriced aswell. That doesn't mean an item worth 50le would be a scam just because someone sells it for 55le, because that's not grossly overpricing the item..

So here are THREE examples of what would be a scam In my opinion.

    1.
    Item: Chesnut horse lv1 - worth 10-15le
P1 buys a chestnut horse for 7le (underpriced but not too underpriced)
P1 then sells the chestnut for 40le (this is 200%+ what they go for at the most)

    2.
Item: legendary spear Blade of Purity with max XP - worth 15-20le
P1 buys the blade of purity for 6le underpriced but still not a scam, the Item is still just a legendary spear and the other id's may be bad.
P1 then convinces a player this item Is extremely valueble and that it sells for up to 3stacks le, selling the item to P2 for 2stacks of le (This is a scam by tricking the other player an item Is worth BY FAR more than it's actually worth, saying 30-40le wouldn't be a scam since this can be based on the fact that xp items sell for alot on the market and this spear has maxed out xp.)

    3.
This third example Is from my own experience, so listen closely to how far people can go trying to scam you.
    P1 msgs P2 randomly, that they'll do anything for 64le. (I am P2)
P2 tells them to get a mythic and sell it to P2 for 64le.
P1 says they got a super good I'd mythic that they'll sell for 64le and then shows P2 a legendary, saying It's just as good as a mythic and tells P2 to pay 64le for It.
^This may seem like an obvious-to-deny deal for you, but some do get tricked by this.

So here are TWO examples of LARGE PROFIT TRADES, that aren't scams.

    1.
Item: White horse lv40 (worth 90-128le)
    P1 Auctions white horse
P1 gets an offer of mythic + 70le and accepts the offer.
Then P1 sells the mythic for 90le

    ? Wait shouldn't 160le from a starting with a white horse be a scam?
It could be and it could not be, since this was an itemtrade it highly depends on the one making the offer, since P1 has no Idea how much P2's item trade items are worth, but It seems like a "pretty nice deal to them" so they take a risk and accept it.
Whatever happens after is up to P1.

    2.
Item: Archangel (worth 50le) and an actual experience.
    P1 buys archangel for 32le
P1 puts archangel for sale at 64le
P1 gets 4 buyers at the same time.
P1 tells the buyers the highest offer wins and gets It sold for 80le.
Why Isn't this a scam? Well this is basically how prices sometimes rise in the market, If alot of people want an item, and are willing to pay more than the other for it, the price for that item will instantly increase as long as none else is selling the item for a cheaper price.
Just look at the xp armor, players used to sell 3stacks of le to the item-merchants unaware of its worth.

This thread Is Ignorant to the rules and based on my own and many others opinions In this, comment how you like It and please tag everyone you'd like to read this. (especially those who have called you a scammer) If there are any examples that you think could be useful in here, please write it in the comments, or anything you'd like changed/where the border for high price and scamming goes.. anything you'd like to say.

So, you're trying to say that there is a secret cult within the Wynncraft community that makes sure they are called scammers on purpose, in order to make money?

Maybe not go so far as cults....
But yes I have seen people who call this a scam, either because they are ignorant of the fluctuations in the player market or don't fully understand the said item's worth.
As for Auctions, selling to the highest bidder is kinda the point...

In my opinion, this depends on what P2 says to P3 (The Buyer). I only consider it a scam if their is lying or duping (I think that means duplicating?) involved.

The cult thing was kind of a joke for attention to the thread, though It does seem like a cult sometimes.
    ________________________________
These are just examples, the prices of the item doesn't matter too much. The point Is that people shouldn't call other people scammers without having some sort of evidence or fact proving that.. and If there Is a scam, report to a mod instead of just saying "scammer" to player
    ________________________________
There are alot of ways of selling stuff involving lies, people often make up people who bid for their items raising the bid and a tip for that Is asking who, though that person could be a fake one as they could be a friend or guild member. (This doesn't count as scamming If said player actually does buy the item imo)
And just duping Is against the rules so that'd be a scam/rule violation anyways.

What I'm saying is that P3 would be stupid, not P2 a scammer if P2 didn't make any false claims.

People seem too quick to yell scammer. I'm just recently starting to play again so I don't know much about the market but there's always people in Detlas arguing about whether or not person A is scamming because person A gave a low offer to person B. I don't even know what anything's worth and I'm probably gonna get called a scammer the second I try to buy something. Something I would consider scamming is swapping an item with the same item with worse IDs. I really don't think attempting to turn a profit is scamming.

The best thing I could think of is just asking someone knowledgeable who you trust about the worth of an item. If you believe the item is worth less than what they are asking, don't trade with them.
