Guide How To Grind Well(?) Without Using An Afk Set.

Okay, so a lot of people have recently been using an AFK grinding set, in order to not actually, well, have to be at the keyboard to be grinding. This abuses a glitch, which is not only a bad thing in itself, but said glitch will be nerfed eventually, meaning your stuff won't do much anymore.

Here's a bit of a guide on how to grind at a decent pace without dying, being extraordinarily bored, or spending money on something that will lose its worth.


1) Buy an XP set. (optional)
This may be rather difficult to do, due to the cost of items with high XP Bonus, but you don't have to go through this step if you're having too much trouble with it. If you've found XP gear before, and you still have it, keep it, instead of selling it.

2) Change up your Skill Point build.

• I find that the best build to go with is to reset, wear everything except the Speaker and Jester Bracelet, and then put just enough points to get five in each stat, enough to wear the Jester Bracelet. This should get you your "base" of Skill Points from your Jester accessories.
• Next, put just enough Skill Points in Intelligence to wear your Speaker.
• Then, put just enough to use whatever XP weapon you need.
• Spend the rest evenly between Defense and Agility. This gives you decent survivability while you're still wearing XP gear.
• A downside to this exact build is that if you find any new Jester Rings or Jester Bracelets with better XP Bonus, you may have to spend an LE to reset your Skill Points so that you have enough points in all the required stats again.
• Note that you can change the build to do more damage or have more Intelligence as you see fit, but being able to survive longer means you get to grind longer without regenerating (though this is unlikely to be an issue with Mages).
• A big thing about this build is that it allows you to run around and fight rather than camping on something; it's much more interesting to be actively dodging enemies than to never use the keyboard, and to only be clicking. Change based on your own level of patience.

3) Find a good grinding spot.
This shouldn't be too difficult to do; if you're already AFK grinding, you should know where a good spot is.
If you're not experienced with grinding, the two most popular spots are in the Freezing Heights, which can be found by going out the Rodoroc gate, and then making a left (you shouldn't miss the contrasting ice), and a floor in the Tower of Ascension (I find 6-7 the best for late-game purposes).


And you're done!
While many of the things stated in this post can be somewhat repetitive to the older players tired with grinding, hopefully the Defense/Agility build should increase your interest while grinding, at least for a day or two.

If there's something missing or wrong with my post, feel free to correct me. No arguments on how AFK is better, though; this post is against that.
