Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Artemis steps back to let Terrae talk and to listen. A faint green glow seems to come off of Artemis.

 

"So it's likely something or someone chased them out of the islands... but what could beat them?"

 

"I don't know. There aren't many beings powerful enough to scare them away."

 

"Drakkonshade, maybe?"
"A what?"

 

"I'm not exactly a plant." I reply.

 

"If the danger is a Drakonshade, I would have sensed a powerful darkness in the Wild Islands by now."

"It was still open for you."

 

"Ah, I see. Are there any interesting things around here I can get a good look at?" I say, looking up to the sky.

 

"Alright. I'll head over there after this visit."

Ihra seems to have run off ahead looking for the Birthlake.

I finally catch up to the group.
"Hey. Sorry for getting left behind. Found some interesting plants."
I look around to see if Por is still with me.

 

Ragnyon looks at you.
"It's fine. We're slow moving anyways... or at least I am."

 

There is no sky. The leafs block out the sky.
"There are things to see everywhere. However, many of them are blocked, so I would recommend the Birthlake."

The path is still forming, so there is a wall of vegetation at the end.
However, sunlight seems to filter through the plants at the end of the path. Maybe the path is almost there?

Por is still floating behind you.
The vines trailing behind him gesture again.
Hey! I'm not a plant! I'm a mushroom!

 

I simply smile.

 

Ihra roots herself and sends a vine forward, seeing where the wall of plants end.

 

Why does everyone assume mushrooms are plants... it's not as if we look like plants. Ever heard of a floating, glowing plant?

Literally the moment she sends the vine out, the final plants move to the side.
Seeing as there was no direct sunlight in the forest, the light is quite bright.

 

No, truthfully, I haven't. Sorry, if it makes you feel bad that I called you a plant.

 

It's okay... many sentient mushrooms become used to this confusion.

 

Ihra walks forward and lies on the ground in the light.

 

Good to know in case I run into more sentient mushrooms.
